Abstract

Factors knowledge, age, education, and information can affect the mother does not give colostrum to newborns. As a result, mothers do not give colostrum to their babies. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of knowledge of postpartum mothers with the provision of colostrum in newborns. The type of this research was survey research with a Cross-Sectional Study approach, with a total sample of 64 postpartum mothers. The result of the research is based on Chi-Square statistical test with significance level: α = 0,05 and df = 1, it is found that X2 count X2 table (5,534 3,841) hence Ho rejected means there is a relationship between Knowledge of Post Partum Mother with Colostrum Giving to new baby Born in Mother Hospital of Gorontalo City Year 2015. Conclusion there is the relation between Knowledge of mother of postpartum By giving colostrum to a newborn baby in obstetric room General Hospital of Bunda Town Gorontalo Year 2015.

Abstract

The government gives society Fe tablets as a way to handle anemia in Indonesia. The low obedience to consume Fe table is the cause of this program that is not effective enough from the government. The research aim is to know the correlated between knowledge, teachers' support, parents' support, health workers' support and self-efficacy on teenage girls’ obedience to consume Fe tablets. The research was an observational study by using a cross-sectional design for 191 students who were taken by purposive sampling technique. Collecting data used questioners that have been tested for validity and reliability. Then, the data were analyzed by using chi-square test and mann withney. The results of the analysis showed that the majority of teenage girls have good knowledge of the importance to consume Fe tablets, namely (52.4%), teachers support (68.8%), parents support (56.0%), health workers support (60.2%), positive self-efficacy (59.2%) and level of compliance with consuming Fe tablets 25% (1 tablet/month) (73.8%). The results of statistical analysis of teenage girls’ as factors in consuming Fe tablets are as follows: a knowledge factor (p-value 0.033), teachers support (p-value 0.008), parents support (p-value 0.011), health workers support (p-value 0.004) and self-efficacy (p-value 0.000). There was a correlated between knowledge, teachers' support, parents' support, health workers' and self-efficacy on teenage girls’ obedience to consume Fe tablets. The suggestions for midwives or other health workers by increasing cooperation to monitor and route outreach to each school either through printed media such as leaflets, books or other more creative electronic media.

Abstract

Pada tahun 2018 di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Sukarame terdapat 4 kasus kematian ibu dan 6 kasus kematian bayi. Salah satu faktor penyebab tidak langsung dari kematian ibu yaitu terlambat mengetahui tanda bahaya kehamilan. Salah satu upaya untuk mengantisipasi hal tersebut adalah dengan pemanfaatan buku KIA. Saat ini persebaran buku KIA di Indonesia sudah mencapai 94%. Akan tetapi meskipun data survei kesehatan nasional (Sirkesnas) 2016 menunjukkan sebanyak 81,5% ibu hamil telah memiliki buku KIA, hanya 60,5% di antaranya yang bisa menunjukkan dan hanya sebanyak 18% buku KIA yang terisi lengkap. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran pemanfaatan buku KIA oleh ibu balita. Metode penelitian yang digunakan metode deskriptif yang bertujuan untuk menggambarkan pemanfaatan buku KIA di Desa Padasuka. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar persepsi buku KIA pada  ketegori positif yaitu  92,31%,  membawa buku KIA ke fasilitas kesehatan pada  kategori bawa sebesar  61,54%, membawa buku KIA ke posyandu  100%, menjaga Buku KIA pada  kategori terawat sebesar  62,82 %, bertanya apabila ada yang kurang jelas dari buku KIA untuk kategori bertanya sebesar  73,08 %, pengetahuan kategori baik sebesar  33,33 %. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah sebagin besar ibu sudah memanfaatkan buku KIA meliputi persepsi positif terhadap buku KIA, membawa buku KIA ke posyandu dan membawa buku KIA ke pelayanan kesehatan lain, kondisi buku KIA terawat, bertanya kepada petugas kesehatan, akan tetapi sebanyak 66,67% tidak membaca buku KIA terbukti dari pengetahuan ibu sebanyak 66,67% termasuk kategori kurang.

Abstract

During the pregnancy period there are physical and psychological changes and social changes become an experience for pregnant women, one of which is anxiety during pregnancy, the prevalence of anxiety disorders during pregnancy in Indonesia ranges from 28.7%. Factors that influence anxiety are knowledge, age, education, parity and social support. This research is to find out the effect of health education on discomfort in pregnancy trimester I and its handling of the knowledge of primigravida pregnant women first trimester. This research is an analytical study using a pre test post test design without control approach. The study subjects as many as 30 pregnant women in Karanganyar public health center using purposive sampling. Bivariate data analysis using paired t test. The results of the study obtained knowledge of pregnant women before health education amounted to 93.3% on the criteria less. Maternity knowledge after health education by 70% on the criteria is sufficient with a 29.4%  increase in knowledge with a p value of 0.000 α (0.05). This suggests that there is an influence of health education on discomfort in trimester I pregnancy and its handling of pregnant women's knowledge of trimester I primigravida

Abstract

The maternal mortality rate in Central Java is ranked 4th in Indonesia. Implementation of quality Antenatal Care (ANC) can reduce maternal mortality (MMR) through early detection in pregnancy. ANC services can be carried out both at BEmNOC (Basic Emergency Obstetric Care) and non-BEmNOC primary health care services (PHC). All PHC are given the same authority in terms of early detection and services for pregnant women. This study aims to determine the relationship of the health centers status and the implementation of integrated antenatal care in the Semarang municipality. This was a cross sectional design carried out on 140 samples taken by consecutive sampling divided into primary health care services BEmNOC and non-BEmNOC 70 samples each. The implementation of integrated ANC was measured using 50 checklists consisting of 13, 12 and 25 checklist of first, second and third trimester sequentially and divided in two value namely do and not do. The relationship between the health center status and the implementation of the integrated ANC was further analyzed by Chi-square test using SPSS 22 software. The study found that the number of samples implementing an integrated ANC in the BEmNOC PHC group was 81.4% (57 samples) while the non-BEmNOC PHC group was 32.9% (23 samples). Chi-square test showed a significant difference between the status of the PHC and the implementation of the ANC (p = 0,000; PR value = 2.47). It was concluded that there was a significant correlation between the health center status and the implementation of ANC in Semarang municipality.

Abstract

Based on Health Profile data, Indonesia could not reach the IVA (Inspeksi Visual Asam asetat) coverage and still experiencing fluctuating conditions from 2016-2018 (Health Ministry of Republic Indonesia, 2018). Prelimenary study result showed that from 10 mothers of health cadres of Puskesmas Singorojo 2 who were interviewed randomly, 70% of mothers had less knowledge, 80% have negative attitude and 80% of mothers had never been socialization about previous IVA examinations. The purpose of this study was determine the effect of training to increase the knowledge, attitudes and practice of health cadres about IVA examination in the Puskesmas Singorojo 02 in district Kendal. This research uses quasy experimental design with one group pre-test and post-test design. Selected research sample using total sampling techniques of 36 respondent. Analysis of data using statistic test of wilcoxon signed ranks. The result showed that with the training had an influence on increasing the knowledge of respondent (p-value = 0.001 and Z = -4,891), improved attitudes of respondents (p-value = 0.001 and Z = -4,753) and increased socialization practices of respondents (p-value = 0.001 and Z = -5.097). The conclusion of this study is the influence of training to increase the knowledge, attitudes and socialization practices of respondents about the IVA examination. This research is expected the clinic to conduct to refresh information to health cadres once a month.

Abstract

Nutritional status is one of the factors that can affects the reproductive system. In adolescence, nutritional status greatly influences the occurrence of menarche. This analysis aims to determine the relationship of nutritional status to the age of menarche in adolescents. This research was conducted at the Bunyanun Marshush Margoyoso Pati Boarding School. This type of researched is Analytic Cross Sectional Study. The subjects were 83 female students with the criteria of having experienced menarche. The independent variable studied was menarche age. The data analysis was performed using the Spearmann Rank Correlation. This study states that the majority of the nutritional status of female students is in the normal range (71.1%) compared to the abnormal range (28.9%). The variables related to nutritional status were menarche age with moderate correlation strength (r = 0.428). Nutritional status is related to the age of menarche. It is recommended for female students to reduce fast food or snacks to maintain a stable body weight. For Islamic boarding schools in order to be able to help students to meet nutritional intake every day by improving the quality of nutrition in accordance with balanced nutrition.

Abstract

Stunting is a growth disorder in children: the child’s height is lower or shorter (stunted) than the standard age. A serious condition that occurs when a person does not get the right amount of nutritional intake for a long time (chronic). Contributes to 15-17 percent of all child deaths. The impact of stunting is underachieving in school and being less productive as adults. When the baby has passed the age of 9 months, it is possible for the mother not to bring her child back to the health service so that there is no monitoring of the child’s development. This study utilizes an application “Stunting Prevention” which can be used by mothers to increase knowledge about how to prevent stunting. This study aims to determine the effect of the application of stunting prevention applications on maternal knowledge and nutritional status of children 0-36 months. The research design was a pre-experimental research design. This study uses the One Group Pretest-Posttest Design approach. The population in this study were mothers who have children aged 0-36 months in the Mojolangu Village, Malang City. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The results showed that there was an effect of using the application on maternal knowledge about stunting prevention with the results of wilcoxon analysis, namely 0,00 (0,05) and there was no effect of using the android application “Stunting Prevention” on the nutritional status of infants 0-36 months with a ρ value of 0,317 (0,05).

Abstract

Postpartum depression is a mood disorder that occurs after childbirth and reflects the psychological dysregulation that is a sign of major depression symptoms. The incidence rate in Indonesia is between 50-70% of postpartum women. It is known that age, education level, employment status, income, family type, BMI, parity, type of delivery, number of living children, exclusive breastfeeding and physical activity affect postpartum depression. Knowing the effect of age, education level, employment status, income, family type, BMI, parity, type of delivery, number of living children, exclusive breastfeeding and physical activity on postpartum depression. This study used a quantitative analytic method, with a cross-sectional technique. It was conducted from August to October 2020. The sample of this study was 62 respondents who had babies aged 1 - 3 months. The research instrument used the IPAQ to measure physical activity data and the EPDS to measure the risk of postpartum depression. There was a relationship between age (p = 0.008) and BMI (p = 0.030) with the risk of developing postpartum depression (bivariate analysis) and there was a simultaneous relationship between family type factors (p = 0.002), exclusive breastfeeding (p = 0.001) and activity. physical (p = 0.008) with a risk of postpartum depression. Factors of age, BMI, family type, exclusive breastfeeding and physical activity influence the occurrence of postpartum depression. Attention in the form of help from others to care for themselves or their babies and their daily needs, comfort to reduce fatigue as a triggering factor for postpartum depression

Abstract

The incidence of premenstrual syndrome is high. Premenstrual syndrome sufferers feel disturbed with the symptoms. One of these symptoms is stress. Stress can reduced by progressive muscle relaxation and Mozart's music therapy. The purpose of study was to determine the effectiveness of progressive muscle relaxation and Mozart's Music therapy on the stress of premenstrual syndrome.This study used quasy experiment with nonquivalent control group design. The population was 89 midwifery students Health Polytechnic Semarang. The sample was 50 people divided into two groups with purposive sampling technique. The results showed there was an effect of progressive muscle relaxation on  premenstrual syndrome stress score (p-value : 0.001 ) with the average score decrease 5.32. It also showed that there was an effect of Mozart's Music therapy on premenstrual syndrome stress scores (p-value : 0.001 ) with the average score decrease 2.8. Different test between two groups was found that there were differences in effectiveness of progressive muscle relaxation and Mozart's music therapy on premenstrual syndrome stress scores (p-value : 0.008). Progressive muscle relaxation is more significant reducing premenstrual syndrome stress score.The research place suggested to apply progressive muscle relaxation and Mozart music therapy to students who experience stress in premenstrual syndrome
