Abstract

Gangguan musculoskeletal adalah sebuah cedera yang mempengaruhi gerakan sistem tubuh manusia seperti otot, tendon, ligamen, saraf, pembuluh darah dan lainnya. Keluhan muskuloskeletal adalah keluhan pada bagian-bagian otot rangka yang dirasakan oleh seseorang mulai dari keluhan ringan sampai sangat sakit, apabila otot menerima beban statis secara berulang dalam waktu yang lama akan dapat menyebabkan keluhan berupa kerusakan pada sendi, ligamen, dan tendon. Terapis gigi dan mulut yang bekerja di Puskesmas Kota Tasikmalaya mayoritas mengalami keluhan muskuloskeletal (90,20%), rata-rata keluhan yang dirasakan pada tubuh bagian bahu kanan, punggung, lengan atas kanan, pinggang, leher bagian atas dan bawah. Tujuan: Mengetahui hubungan antara karakteristik individu dengan keluhan muskuloskeletal petugas kesehatan gigi dan mulut di Puskesmas Kota Tasikmalaya. Metode Penelitian: Jenis penelitian non experimental dengan rancangan cross sectional, populasi penelitian seluruh terapis gigi dan mulut di Puskesmas Kota Tasikmalaya berjumlah 53 orang, semua terapis gigi dan mulut menjadi sampel penelitian. Data primer diambil secara langsung menggunakan kuesioner lembar identitas dan Nordic Body Map. Variabel independent: karakteristik individu, variabel dependent: keluhan muskuloskeletal. Hasil:  Didapatkan nilai p value 0,05. Kesimpulan: Berdasarkan uji korelasi rank spearman, tidak terdapat hubungan antara karakteristik individu dengan keluhan muskuloskeletal petugas kesehatan gigi dan mulut di Puskesmas Kota Tasikmalaya.

Abstract

Background: Systemic diseases such as diabetes mellitus and hypertension can be associated and provide clinical manifestations in the oral cavity. These manifestations can certainly impact and feel uncomfortable and can reduce the function of the patient's oral cavity. Purpose: This study aims to describe the level of knowledge, attitudes, and oral health measures and the risk of caries in patients with diabetes mellitus and hypertension in the Prolanis group. Methods: This study was a descriptive observational study with a cross-sectional study design. The questionnaire used was a knowledge, attitude, and action questionnaire and a risk assessment caries form. Results: Of the 46 respondents, half (56.5%) had hypertension, half (69.6%) were female, and half (58.7%) were in the age range of 60-74 years. 67.4% of respondents have moderate knowledge, 60.9% have a good attitude, and 87% have adequate oral and dental health measures. More than half of the respondents (71.7%) fall into the high caries risk category. Conclusion: Most of the respondents' knowledge level is in the medium category, the attitude level is in a positive category, and the activity level is in the moderate category. The caries risk category of respondents is in the high-risk category.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Periodontal disease is a disease that attacks the tissue that surrounds and supports the teeth consisting of the gingiva, periodontal ligament, cementum and alveolar bone. In patients who have a history of systemic diseases such as diabetes, the patient's oral health can also be affected, one of which is the appearance of periodontal disease. Periodontal disease is related to diabetes mellitus where diabetes mellitus with uncontrolled glucose levels is a risk factor that aggravates periodontal diseases such as gingivitis and periodontitis. Extraction is the act of taking teeth and tooth roots from the socket involving bone tissue and soft tissue in the oral cavity. Tooth extraction or extraction is a treatment procedure that is quite often performed by. There are various factors that influence tooth extraction, including sociodemography. Extraction is more common in patients with low levels of education than in societies with higher levels of education. This condition probably occurs because of the level of individual knowledge. Diabetes mellitus is a chronic chronic disease that has a prevalence that continues to increase every year, this disease is caused by metabolic disorders so that the body cannot control the levels of sugar in the blood. The immune response is impaired in diabetic patients.

Abstract

Caries is caused by germs and processed carbohydrates, exacerbated by the frequency of sucrose and can be modified by fluoride and saliva. The use of fluoride as a prevention material for dental cavities is very important.  Dental Therapist must have knowledge about fluoride in order to determine attitudes in the use of fluoride. The purpose of this study was to determine differences in knowledge and attitudes of dental and oral therapists about fluoride as a preventative material for caries prevention.Research design was observational analytic with cross sectional approach. The research data was obtained using a questionnaire as instruments. Respondents was 44 dental therapist who works at Semarang Community Health Service.  Chi-square test was used as an analysis tool with a value of p 0.05.The results showed differences between Dental Therapists' knowledge of fluoride by age group (p = 0,000), but there were no differences in knowledge by sex group (p = 0.674) and education level (p = 0.831). There was a difference between the attitude of the Dental Therapist based on age group (p = 0.049), but there was no difference based on gender group (p = 0.220) and education level (p = 0.534).Based on these results, it can be concluded that there are differences in the knowledge and attitudes of Dental and Oral Therapists towards fluoride with the age group, the older the age then tend to have positive behavior and can also understand and digest the proper use of fluoride and how to minimize the incidence of dental fluorosis
