MIQOT: Jurnal Ilmu-Ilmu Keislaman is a peer reviewed academic journal, established in 1976 as part of the State Islamic University of North Sumatra Medan (see: video), dedicated to the publication of scholarly articles in various branches of Islamic Studies, by which exchanges of ideas as research findings and contemporary issues are facilitated. Miqot welcomes contributions of articles in such fields as Quranic Studies, Prophetic Traditions, Theology, Philosophy, Law and Economics, History, Education, Communication, Literature, Anthropology, Sociology, and Psychology.

Abstract

Abstract: Zakat Management in the Post Declaration of Islamic Syariah in Aceh. One of the most noted consequences of declaration of the implementation of Syariat Islam in Aceh has been a spirit for the management of zakat which was resulted in the introduction of several regulations. The author argues that by referring to these laws and qanun there is a tendency that the management of zakat are being managed by the government. However, such system is not similar to that of the BAZIS (Badan Amil Zakat Infaq and Shadaqah). This article is an attempt to analyze the management of zakat focusing on systems applied in Baitul Mal and in the BAZIS, the extent to which they are similar or different. The author maintains that the system used in Baitul Mal is more effective and as such makes such institution closer to society and cuts down bureaucratic complexity.Kata Kunci: pengelolaan zakat, BAZIS, Baitul mal, Aceh

Abstract

Abstract:Tarekat Naqsyabandiyah Syaikh Abdul Wahab Rokan: history, teachings, practice and its dynamics of change. The Tarekat Naqsyabandiyah in North Sumatra was first developed by Syaikh Abdul Wahab Rokan. In reality, such teaching of tarekat developed by him has changed the lives of its followers in Babussalam socially to a more prosperous course. In this article, the writer traces the history, teaching and practice of tarekat Naqsyabandiyah Syaikh Abdul Wahab Rokan in Babussalam as well as analyzes the dynamics of change there in. The author argues that the application of the teaching of tarekat Naqsyabandiyah Syaikh Abdul Wahab Rokan which emphasizes that the material world is not the only matter in life has become an avenue for creating a balance between the profane and eternal dimensions of life.Kata Kunci: Tarekat, Naqsyabandiyah, Syaikh Abdul Wahab Rokan
