Abstract

The aims of this study is to analyze the performance of export-import, competitiveness and the factors affecting export-import of Vietnam rice. Type of data used is secondary data of 1980-2009. To determine the fluctuation of export-import trade were applied trend and trade specialization ratio. To find out the analysis of competitiveness were run revealed comparative advantage (RCA) and acceleration ratio (AR). To investigate the factors affecting the export and import used error correction model (ECM). Vietnam export trend showed an increase and imports trend showed a decline and in the maturity stage. Vietnam has high competitiveness but the exports acceleration is low. Vietnam’s export affected by per capita rice availability and the exchange rate while imports of Vietnam affected by the production, world rice prices and real national income.

Abstract

The purpose of this research are (1) to identify changes in the structure of Indonesia’s economi, (2) to identifty backward linkage and forward linkage between agriculture sector eith other sctors in economic structure of Indonesia, (3) to know the multiplier effect of output, income, employment and grows value added of agriculture sector. The research analyzed Input-Output data, the domestic transaction based on producer price, that in classified 66 sectors published by the Cnetral Statistics Agency (BPS) uidng Input-Output Analysis.These result indicate that ini 1975 until 2008 the structure of Indonesia’s economy has changed towards industrialization. Backward linkage and forward linkage between the agriculture sectora are under the average backward linkage and the forward linkage of economy all sector in Indonesia. Multiplier effect to output, income, employment in the agricultural sector are the average of output multiplier effect income, employment sectors of the economy throughout Indonesia but the gross value added in above-average gross value added multiplier effects throught the economy of Indonesia.

Abstract

This research aimed at investigating : (1) the analysis of cooperation based on agricultural criterion in Kolaka District based on cooperation performance analysis based on agricultural criterion in Kolaka District according to cooperative development orientation and cooperation classification orientation; (2) the cooperation performance based on farmer’s perception and cooperation apparatus; (3) find out the benefit found by the farmer  as the member; (4) the analysis of correlation between performance and benefit obtained by farmer as cooperation member. This research applied analytical method. The data used consists of primary and secondary data. Primary data in this research is taken from questioner answer returned by cooperation apparatus respondent and stakeholders who asses the performance and benefit from 10 Agriculture Cooperation of Kolaka District. Secondary data obtained were as: (a) the data of financial report or the balance 10 Agriculture Cooperation in Kolaka District year 2006-2010, (b) the data of profit and loss data 10 Agriculture Cooperation in Kolaka District year 2006-2010. The research finding shown that based on Cooperation Cllasification Orientation, the Agriculture Cooperation in Kolaka District in average was 61.58 in 2007 and included quite good category. In 2008, the average of the cooperation performance was 62.05 and included in quite good category. In 2009 the average of cooperation performance was 62.38 and included in quite good category. In 2010 the average of cooperation  performance was 61.28 and include in quite good category. Then, majority of cooperation apparatus and stakeholders asses that agriculture cooperation in Kolaka District include in quite good criteria that is 48.75%. furthermore, majority of respondents asses that agriculture cooperation in Kolaka District is beneficial, that is 65%. Based on SEM analysis, the correlation of agriculture cooperation performance positively correlates with the finding benefit by farmers. The correlation of coefficient value  of 0.85 has statistical value 14.40. the correlation of standardization value of 0.85 shows the performance and beneficial agriculture cooperation which brings the real correlation. Sequentially, the performance components give the biggest to smallest con tribution that is, caring towards the community is 0.86. the component of voluntary and opened membership is 0.80. the controlling by member democratically is 0.79. the economically participant of the member is 0.71. the education and training give contribution to 0.25. then to components of cooperation benefit sequentially give the biggest to smallest contribution that is marketing economy benefit is 0.96. credit benefit is 0.88. economical benefit of farmer necessity is 0.86. the contribution to social benefit is 0.48.

Abstract

One of the plantation sub-sector is now growing quite significantly is tobacco, where most farmers grow tobacco because this plant is considered to provide more added value when compared to other subsectors. Temanggung is known for quality tobacco than the tobacco of any area. To overcome the problem of capital and other issues, the majority of tobacco farmers in Temanggung working with the company’s domestic tobacco industry. Through this business partnership is expected to be fast so that the mutualistic symbiosis flaws and limitatation faced by tobacco farmers can be resolved. This study aims to : (1) knowing the production and the factors that influence the producton of tobacco and independent partnership (2) tp find out the income and factors that affect farm income on tobacco and independent partnership (3) to find out the allocative efficiency of input use on tobacco farming and independent partnership (4) knowing the risks of production and the risk of tobacco farm income.This study uses secondary data and primary by taking 60 farmers sample of 30 farmers and 30 farmers partnership patterns independently. To determine tha factors affecting farm production and income patterns of tobacco use and independent partnership Ordinary Least Square regression (OLS), to know the iffernce between the tobacco farm income and independent partnership used different test, to determine the allocative efficiency an production risk and income risk using coeffisien variation.Based on the result of the analysis indicate that the factors that influence the production is labor, the amount of organic fertilizer, the amount of inorganic fertilizrr, pesticides and dummy partnership, while the factors that affect revenue is the price of pesticide, land area, and dummy partnership. From the test resultas show the efficiency, not allocative efficient. Production risk and the risk of partnership income of farmers is higher than the patterm of independent farmers.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) determine the feasibility of people’s business oil plan plantation assessment in terms of financial by using investment criteria, (2) to know the sensivity of people’s business oil palm plantation in price changes of both input output. The research was conducted in Rokan Hulu Regency. The analyzed method used was analysis of the investment criteria of NPV, IRR, BCR, PBP, and BEP. The data used are the primary data obtained though interviews using qesioner. The samples taken by Purposive Sampling from 50 respondents of the people pure self oil palm plantation in Rokan Hulu Regency. The results showed that the people oil palm plantations, either before or after financing is feasible to be implemented. The results of sensitivity analysis of input price increase by 10%, and the FFB selling price is considered fixed and FFB sale price fell by 10% and the price of the production factor fixed, either before r after the financing business is still feasible to be implemented. FFB price changes are more sensitive to changes the value of investment criteria than the production fact price changes.

Abstract

This study aims to : (1) CPO export trends and projections in North Sumatera (2) CPO export competitiveness of North Sumatera in Indonesia (3) factors that affect CPO export in North Sumatera. This research based on the background tat CPO export volume in North Sumatera which is now well below Riau Province, where previously the province of North Sumatera is Indonesia’s largest palm oil exporter.The data used are secondary data to the time period of the years 1980-2010. Data collecting obtained from BPS, Ministry of Agriculture and KPB PTPN. The analyze used model equation  of least square to see the trends and projections 10 year lstr; RCA and AR index used to see competitiveness and ordinary least square (OLS) model used to see the factors that affected CPO export of North Sumatra.The result of study show that: (1) North Sumatera CPO export trend for 1980-2010 was positive and projections export for ten years later increased with average growth 4.649 percent, (2) North Sumatera still competitive in Indonesian CPO exports based on the average value of the RCA index 13.24905 but with weak growths as indicated by the AR index of 0.232 caused by the potential land was small, production growth was slowly, the low productivity and the transfer of export port by exporters, (3) North Sumatra CPO exports affected positively by Doller exchange rate against Rupiah and negatively affected by the value of the RCA index.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the process of collective intelligence of farmers to describe level of collective intelligence of farmers in coastal agriculture area farm management and factors of the collective intelligence of farmers. in coastal agriculture area. The basic method used here was namely analytical descriptive method. The sample was taken with purposive method. Analysis method was done by using chi-square and gamma tests. The results showed that the process as of collective intelligence of coastal agriculture area fanners in Panjatan Sub District were social learning and consensus process. Level of collective intelligence of farmers' on the coastal agriculture area tends to be high. Indicators of collective intelligence that have been done by all of the farmers were land clearing for agriculture, land consolidation, farm road construction, group planning arrangement, auction markets arrangement, and pantek well construction. There were two indicators which haven't been done by farmers i.e. using of plastic mulch a.nd using of power sprayer. The factors affecting collective intelligence are farmer's organization activities, farmer's experience and land size.
