Abstract

The important role of communication for fundamental human life can not be denied. So is the case for the process of delivering information on the institution library. With good communication, the whole process of performance within the institution libraries can be run smoothly and successfully. Vice versa, less or even no communication actions in a library institution easily cause total failure of the whole process of the institution's own library. Effective communication is essential for all library institutions without exception. Therefore, the leadership of the institution of the library as the core communicator in an organization need to understand and fine-tune their communication skills in order to avoid misunderstandings in the delivery of the message.

Abstract

Competency is defined as a benchmark to determine the extent of the ability of librarians in    using the knowledge they can get and skills.Librarian is a person who performs activities of libraries by providing services to the public in accordance with the duties of their parent institutions based on library science. Librarians must meet the standards of competence or the ability in the field. So from the competency standards set by the professional organizations of librarians performance benchmarks can be set.

Abstract

Libraries have a very important role in fostering interest in reading among the public. This role can contribute to library to promote the library, so that society interested in coming to the library. Reading is a powerful source of motivation for someone to recognize and remember and evaluate the texts have been read, which is an exciting learning experience and will affect the shape and intensity of a person in determining its goals later in the future.

Abstract

Abstract

This paper discusses about intellectual freedom in library, Freedom to acquire and use information in the library is one important element in intellectual freedom in library. Each user is in the library is entitled to use any form of collections and information in the library without the obstacles of any party.Rights of intellectual freedom in seeking and obtaining user information in the library is one of the fundamental right to freedom intellectual although the information sought by the user is an issue or a subject that is quite sensitive and dangerous. However, librarians sought to meet the needs of such users because the library is a democratic and neutral space where each user can library obtain all the information they need without fear and discrimination

User now use the computer while the media access to information. One aspect that emerged from the development of new media is a meeting between user in the area of virtual communication. This is called the computer mediated communication and represented by text. The presence of cyber media to form a new way of communicating, because the process through which the message are distributed via the internet. Changes in library communication is Zuckerberg time. Transformation can strengthen the role of libraries.
