Abstract

This study specifically aims to: (1) determine the water discharge drill wells, (2) analyzing the physical, chemical and microbiological before and after filtered. Water discharge is determined by the volume of water coming out of the pump, housed in a bucket or vessel in time-varying, repetition is done ten (10) times. Water discharge is determined from the average price of the volume of water being stored in the bucket divided time it takes to fill it. Based on a simple statistical calculation, the discharge of water after filtration is 1.31 l / s, before filtration   of 1.86 l / s, so that the filtration efficiency of 70.4%. Analysis of the composition of the water carried by physical, chemical and microbiological conducted in the laboratory total solids showed 460 ppm and 330 ppm prior to filtration, after filtration, the quality standard of 1,500 ppm. Chemical properties of the water before and after filtration, namely: pH 7, the quality standard (6.5 to 9.2). Total hardness initially 223.32 ppm to 181.56 ppm, while the quality standard of 500 ppm CaCO3. Nitrite has decreased from 0.38 ppm to < 0.02 ppm, but not yet eligible to be negative. Sulfate, lead and copper negative, chloride remained 16.588 ppm, well below the quality standard of 600 ppm. Although iron decreased from 218.72 before filtration into 184.8 ppm after filtration, but the maximum quality standard of 1 ppm Fe, thus not eligible drinking water.Keywords: assessment, discharge, water quality, wellbore

Abstract

Land use is primarily residential zone uninhabitable, land units that have a large slope soil layer with low carrying capacity of the soil and rock that is not stable, less vegetative is an area that is prone to landslides. The land use changes and continuously can lead to the use of space be not as intended, many catastrophic events that arise due to changes in land use. Settlements built around the hills are generally less concerned about the stability of the slope, and the structure of rocks, from the geological processes that occur in the area and did not realize the potential danger of landslides that any time would threaten life and property. As with settlement Bakti Persada Indah Housing construction in Semarang Ngaliyan hill temple in Industrial Area. Based on this, it felt quite relevant location for research. This study uses a case study approach as well as on settlement construction in the residential hills of BPI in Block Q village location Purwoyoso Ngaliyan District of Semarang, in his review of the impact of land suitability can cause vulnerability to landslides. From the analysis of land suitability can be stated that the residential hill area BPI Village location Purwoyoso Ngaliyan District of Semarang to residential areas with a low density of the suitability of land is still appropriate.Keywords: evaluation, land suitability, settlements.

Abstract

Coconut shell charcoal is one of the alternative materials environmentally friendly energy. The process of making briquettes made several stages, namely, coconut shell charcoal is made by way of  oven manually through later in the drum and closed until there is little ventilation in the charcoal drum. The next process of charcoal produced using diskmil and further make powder  coconut shell flour that has been filtered then mixed with 2.5% starch glue from coconut shell flour. After the ingredients are mixed evenly, then put into molds briquettes and then performed and the drying oven. This research aims to design and print tool making coconut shell charcoal briquettes with an automated system with pneumatic drive to improve the productivity of industrial briquettes. Display devices are planned and made briquettes have a production capacity of 36 briquettes / min size briquette diameter 30 mm, height 14 mm. Briquettes press tool has dimensions of 400 mm long, 300 mm wide, 650 mm high and 30 mm diameter, height (11-14) mm, capable of withstanding a load of 933.3 N at a temperature of 200oC for 22 minutes.Keywords: coconut shell charcoal briquets, Pneumatic

Abstract

Boarding house in urban development, especially adjacent to the campus is the potential, proven over the years similar businesses increasingly widespread, in the management of a persons generally done as a byproduct of domestic life that at first only as a sideline activity or as a social activity, but as with the progress of time and economic demands, then the business has become a boarding house and a promising business venture, in which the manager has dared to invest, to build him a place which is used as a boarding house business, and by taking a business loan in the bank as additional capital, because in fact the reality is a business that has long-term viability, the results of the economic analysis with the assumption of 20 years is a decent effort and has resulted in the value of profit with (NPV) = Rp.25.109.271, with a value of (BCR) = 1.05 with (IRR) = 15.822 %, payback (break even point) is reached at the age of 15.121 years running businesses. With 16 years already achieved payback, based on the assumption that the land is already available, while building and operating costs obtained with a bank loan. with the results of the economic analysis of the above-mentioned operations perspective boarding house enough to use as a sideline in which management is simple and easy.Keywords: Boarding House, investments, sideline, campus.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the kind of big impact aluminium 7075 T351, and prove material temperature between  – 8 oC to 100 oC there was no significant difference in shock loads. Testing was conducted using Charpy, the sample size and temperature variations. Variation in the sample size standard ASTM E23, while the corresponding temperature variations not the temperature of the load shock. Large impact loads generated 0,24705828 Joule/mm2 and its potential energy 20,175625 Joule. Abstract

In Indonesia, a lot of cultural heritage made of metal found under water in the form of a shipwreck, cannons, anchors and even submarines. Metal is the material that is prone to damage due to corrosion. Metals are submerged in sea water will corrosion rate at high speed. Cathodic protection system is a way of preventing corrosion with an efficient control of the redox potential and not destructive. Sacrificial anode round method is a cathodic protection system is more practical applied to cultural heritage made of metal found under water. The application field is selected on the steel ship that sank in 1960 in the waters of Karimunjawa, Jepara. The metal used as a sacrificial anode is zinc alloy. Measurement data is resistance, potential and electric current generated in the sacrificial anode zinc alloy and steel ship with outboard boats carried on the location of the shipwreck. Measurements were made with a multimeter, voltmeter and ampere meter. From the calculation, it can be concluded that the cathodic protection system to prevent corrosion of the steel ship that sank as objects of cultural heritage with an area of 1436.61 m2 within 7 (seven) years requires zinc alloy sacrificial anodes as heavy as 485 kg.Keywords: shipwreck, cathodic protection, cultural heritage

Abstract

Ginger (Zingiber officinale Rosc.) is one of the agricultural commodities such as spice plants that have high economic value. Drying ginger is one way to improve the product quality with a lower moisture content materials. This research was carried out by using a tray dryer with drying temperature are 40oC, 50oC and 60oC. The type of the dried ginger are red ginger, small ginger and big ginger. Sample is peeled before and cut to produce a thickness of sample 1,5cm, 1 cm and 0,5cm. After drying for 4hours, that known the drying rate increases with an increase in drying temperature. Drying rateis also influenced by the surface area of the sample ginger. The best drying rate obtained from ginger samples with a thickness of 0,5 cm. Three thin-layer drying models are used to compare the rate of moisture rate modeling with moisture rate experiments. Pag emodel is a model of a thin layer which can prove that the moisture rate modelling and moisture rate experiment has the best statistical correlation. Drying will cause a change in color, texture and shape of the sample. Abstract

The employee maintenance in human resource management (HRM) is an effort either to raise or to maintain physically and mentally the employee condition and attitude in order to be always loyal and to carry out the job productively for supporting the achievement of the company objectives. Thereby great attention must be seriously given to the employee maintenance, since less attention will consequently decrease the working motivation, attitude, loyalty, discipline, and will also increase the absence and the turnover, so that will weaken in supporting the achievement of the company objectives. The success of a company in achieving its objectives is strongly determined by the existence of the employee, so that is required to always keep up the guard and the maintainance of the employee in order to make them feel comfortable, constantly endure, and do the job well. The employee maintenance can be implemented effectively when based on the benefit and efficiency, the need and satisfaction, the equity and fairness, the legal regulation, and the company capability. Some methods in implementing the employee maintenance are such as the two-way communication, the incentive reward, the employee benefit, the safety and health insurance, and the industrial relation..Keywords: employee maintenance, management, human resource.
