Abstract

Bamboo is a plant species of grasses with a cavity and a segment in the trunk. Bamboo has many types. In this era of bamboo has economic value and beneficial if used properly. One way is to become of utilizing bamboo handicrafts. Bamboo craft is a craft popular among the people of Indonesia, ranging from woven bamboo crafts, woven wall, Udung misstatement, tissue boxes and skewers. Irat bamboo is a tool that has a working principle attenuate or splitting bamboo section in accordance with a predetermined size. This tool is used to produce various kinds of craft in bulk with the results of the same product in a relatively short time. The purpose of this design tool is to cut the bamboo in large quantities in a short time. The method used to design and make bamboo irat engine with an electric motor with a power capacity of 600 incision 1HP per hour. Motor rotation speed listrikhasil incision bamboo with bamboo irat engine with an electric motor capable of producing bamboo incision to the size of ± 5m.Keywords: Design, Engineering Irat, Bamboo, Electric Motors

Abstract

Nowadays more and more members of the public who tried to enter into the world of business, whether micro, small and medium. The intention of entering the business world in general is driven by national economic conditions are not yet fully capable of creating jobs, good for those who at this moment ready to enter the workforce, as well as new labor force, ie those who have recently graduated from an educational institution or caused by various causes can not be forced to complete their education. Those who drop out of school or who are not able to continue to pursue higher education also need to get a decent and dignified life. So in order to survive, they choose the alternative to enter the business world. With capital determination, passion or whatever possessed them to try berwirausaha.Mereka not easily give up the face of lifes difficulties, but among them many of them fail. Abstract

Making of batik stamp conventionally can only be done by experts in order to form a opper ribbon to be batik image as planned according to the designed batik. Time to createeach batik stamp could be four weeks, so the price is expensive. Constraints of time and theexpensive prices for the process of making batik stamp are likely to be overcome by the application of milling machine 3 axis CNC router. The aim of this study was to analyze the design of batik stamp made of aluminum plate using CNC milling machines Router 3 Axis viewed from the aspect of technology, economics, and human resources.The method applied is enginering design approach that includes (1) identification of design considerations: batik images that are complex and unique, material of the stamp, long processing time,  expensive price, and the process of batik tasting; (2) The application of CNC milling machine router 3 axis: design of batik stamp made from aluminum plate,engineering applications software coreldraw, aspire vectric, mach-3, and the manufacture of batik stamp with CNC milling machines, analyzes the results of batik stamp regaring technological aspects, economic, and human resources. The results of this study indicate that the batik stamp made from aluminum plate using CNC milling machines have the technological and economic feasibilities. Transition of making stamped batik conventionally to applications of router axis CNC milling machines for batik communities still constrained by social and cultural issues.Keywords: CNC milling machine, batik stamp, engineering software

Abstract

The process of cutting material is reshaped by cutting. Non conventional cutting process is needed to overcome the shortcomings in the previous process is conventional. For ceramic type material that has properties; hard, strong and setabil at high temperatures, but brittle and easily broken or cracked. Emphasis on the brittle material resulted in local crack follow devormasi elastic. With the abrasive water jet machining (AWJM) technology is cutting the material with tap 4.2 bar mixture of 70% water and 30% abrasive able to overcome the shortcomings of conventional process.Keywords: AWJM, cutting of ceramic materials

Abstract

Lecturers are professional educators and scientists with the main task of transforming, through the Science and Technology Education, Research, and Community Service. This study aims to determine the level of service each polytechnic lecturers in professional development in the implementation of Tridharma college. The research was conducted on four Polytechnic. Samples was determined using stratified random sampling technique. Data collection instrument used was a questionnaire. The results showed (1) the level of service Polines, PIP and Politekes in the professional development of lecturers in all areas A (Education and teaching), B (Research), C (Community Service), D (Supporting) category is very adequate and sufficient more of 50%; (2). Polimarin service level in the professional development of lecturers in all areas A (Education and teaching), B (Research), C (Community Service), D (Supporting) category is very adequate and sufficient less than 50%; (3). Professional development of lecturers today is the academic development by implementing the Tri Dharma of high education.Keywords: Tridharma of high education, professional lecturers, polytechnic
