Abstract

Rabies is a fatal infectious virus that can attack all mammals especially dogs. Infection happens when there is  interaction between healthy dogs and rabies-infected dogs. In Bali, rabies was first found in late 2008. One of the solutions done by government to the problem is by giving vaccine to healtly dogs, so that they are not easily infected by the virus. Thus, a mathematical model is needed to analyze the development of dogs population in Bali. By using analysis of fixed point and stability on the model, the population of rabies-infected dog was affected by not only the percentage of vaccination but also the number of healthy dogs birth. Lastly, a numeric simulation by using Taylor’s seriesorder was conducted to illustrate and to strengthen the result of the analysis.

Abstract

Binomial Model for Valuing Employee Stock Options. Employee Stock Options (ESO) differ from standard exchange-traded options. The three main differences in a valuation model for employee stock options : Vesting Period, Exit Rate and Non-Transferability. In this thesis, the model for valuing employee stock options discussed. This model are implement with a generalized binomial model.

Abstract

Batik Palembang has a distinctive design with bright colour. There are several design, in this research, can be visualized songket batik design and jumputan batik design. Jumputan and songket batik design with the help of the software can be visualized using iterated function systems (IFS) and the Julia set. Songket batik design can be visualized with a combination of Sierpinski Carpet and Julia set while jumputan battik design can be visualized with a combination of some of the Julia set.

Abstract

The granting rice program for poor households (Raskin) is one of the West Lombok regency government programs for village poverty. The effectiveness of the program relating to 14 criteria for the poor households Raskin recipients (RTS-PM). The 14 criteria have been grouped into several factors using varimax rotation factor analysis, while the RTS-PM have been grouped using hierarchical median cluster analysis. Four factors obtained based on the analysis. First factor was the house existence, the second factor was the financial ability, the third factor was the house existing facilities, and the four factor was the education of the household head and the purchasing power of clothing. The clustering results using hierarchical median cluster analysis formed 3 clusters. The first cluster contains the RTS-PM which have been grouped into first factor; the second cluster contains the RTS-PM which have been grouped into second and third factor; and the third cluster contains the RTS-PM which have been grouped into fourth factor.

Abstract

Mangrove forest or known as bakau forest is important forest as a natural wave barrier or tsunami wave mitigation. Some advantages of mangrove forest to reduce the water waves are already studied. Mangrove forest in north coast of Bali’s island, Buleleng regency, Indonesia is in damaged condition. The aim of this paper is to present the importance of mangrove forest as the water wave mitigation in numerical simulation point of view. Moreover, the results also show the effect of tsunami propagation to the coastal area with and without mangrove resistance. Here, the nonlinear shallow water equations are used to govern the model of numerical simulation.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to know factors having an influence by significant to Entrepreneurship Intention of students in Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of Sriwijaya University. There used a Structural Equation Models (SEM) analysis method, because variables in this research in the form of laten variable and causal relationship between a set of variables nor modestly, there is direct and indirectly relationship. The result show that family environment give a part important in forming Entrepreneurship intention student, and so Personal attitude give biggest direct influence to Entrepreneurship Intention of student equal to 0,52 with t-test statistical value equal to 6,82.
