Abstract

Pandan is part of the marine pandanus plants that are yellow to orange. Pandan fruit has the potential to be a source of natural dyes yellow and orange. Dyes obtained from pandan fruit are unstable. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the type of packaging and storage temperature on the characteristics of fruit powder and to determine the type of packaging and the best temperature for storing pandan powder. The design in this study used a completely randomized design with two factors. Factor I is a packaging treatment consisting of 4 types of packaging, namely polypropylene, polyethylene, aluminum foil, and brown paper. Factor II is the temperature consisting of two levels, namely 4º±2ºC and 27º±2ºC. The results showed that the temperature had a very significant effect (P<0,01) on water content and total carotene but did not have a significant effect (P>0,05) on the reddish value (L*), the reddish value (a*), reddish value (b*). The packaging type has a very significant effect (P<0.01) on water content and total carotene, but does not have a significant effect (P>0,05) on the reddish value (L*), the reddish value (a*), reddish value (b*), the most stable treatment in aluminum foil and cold temperatures 4 ± 2ºC for 4 weeks of storage, with the percentage of moisture content, total carotenoids, color intensity (L *, a *, b *) in the amount of 14.00%, 17.86%, 34,89%, 43,88%, 22,76% Keywords: pandanus (Pandanus tectorius), carotene, type of packaging, storage temperature.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to evaluate the influences of the sugar addition and the yeast starter concentration used in wine processing on the characteristic of red dragon fruit wine. The research was experimental research that designed using Randomized Block Design. Two factors were experimented, namely the sugar concentrations (22oBrix, 25oBrix and 28oBrix) and yeast starter concentration (5%, 10% and 15%). The experiment was carried out in two block experiment, so that totally was done 18 unit. The result of this research showed that the interaction treatments of the addition of sugar and the addition of yeast starter concentration significantly affected the ethanol content, reducing sugar content and the total phenol of red dragon fruit wine. Otherwise, the interaction treatments did not significantly affect the total soluble solid and the acidity of the wine. The organoleptic test showed that the panelist prefered the wine which produced with 28oBrix sugar content and the addition of 15% yeast starter. The etanol content, reducing sugar content, total soluble solid, pH and the phenol content of this wine were 11.24%; 1.756%; 12.10oBrix; 3.75 and 1.637 mg/100 g, respectively. The methanol was not detected containing in the wine. Keyword: sugar, yeast starter, red dragon fruit wine.

Abstract

This research was carried out in Kusamba Village, Dawan District, Klungkung Regency. This study aims to find out to identify the salt kusamba marketing channel with the structure, conduct, performance (SCP) approach and analyze the marketing efficiency of kusamba salt. The data collected was analyzed with qualitative and quantitative methods. Qualitative methods are used to analyze marketing channels, structure, and market behavior, while quantitative methods are used to analyze market performance. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the salt marketing process is through 4 (four) marketing channels. The market structure that occurs in the marketing of kusamba salt is oligopsonia. Market conduct occurs when the practice of pricing is still dominated by intermediary traders. Market performance shows that the highest total marketing margin is found in marketing channel 3 and the highest farmer share is found in marketing channels 1. The analysis of salt marketing efficiency based on farmer 's share states that the marketing channel 1 is the most efficient and based on the total marketing costs of marketing channel 3 is the most efficient because the value of Marketing Efficiency (EP) is 44,44% or ? 50%. Keywords: Kusamba sea salt, structure, conduct, performance, and marketing efficiency

Abstract

Agrotourism is a tourist activity that involves the use of agricultural land or related facilities that attract tourists. The increasing number of agrotourism will have implications for the level of competition that is increasingly high among agrotourism. The high competition is one of the factors to carry out product development strategies. The objectives purpose of this study are: 1) to find out the types of agroindustry products sold in the shopping area in agrotourism, 2) determine which agroindustry products are most popular with tourists in the shopping area, 3) to formulate alternative strategies and set priorities for agroindustry product development strategies. This research was conducted at Cau Chocolate Factory Agrotourism. This study uses the SWOT method to determine the alternative strategies used, and TOPSIS to rank these alternatives. The strategy that can be applied in Cau Chocolate Factory Agrotourism is a intensive strategy, the priority of the chosen strategy is 1) expanding the marketing of chocolate products, 2) promoting processed chocolate products to social media, 3) strengthening cooperation with suppliers and between tourism actors and similar companies. Abstract

Indonesia entered the ASEAN Economic Community (MEA) as of December 31, 2015. In essence the purpose of the establishment of the MEA is to improve the stability of the economy in the ASEAN region, and is expected to overcome the problems in the economic field among ASEAN countries. The consequences of the MEA deal are the free flow of goods and services, free flow of capital and investment, and free flow of skilled labor for ASEAN countries. Free flow of labor is seen as a threat as well as an opportunity for the state of Indonesia. Therefore the Government of Indonesia through the Education and Culture Ministry, especially the Directorate of Vocational Secondary Education implemented a policy strategy of SMK revitalization. The aim of Vocational Revitalization is to realize the school Link and Match with the Business / Industry World (DuDi) thus eliminating the gap between vocational education and DuDi's needs. Three important activities in the implementation strategy of SMK revitalization are the development of industry-based curriculum, teaching factory, and graduate competency certification. Activity is applied to a variety of expertise programs one of which is a program Agribusiness of Agricultural Product Processing (Agroindustry). Keywords: MEA, free flow of labor, teaching factory, competency certification.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to elucidate the potentials of cellulolytic bacteria isolates in producing crude cellulose enzymes and to determine the ability of exoglucanase enzymes and endoglucanase enzymes produced from selected cellulolytic bacteria isolates. Ten potential isolates from previous research were confirmed using 1% Carboxymethyl Cellulose (CMC) media with the addition of Congo red and four potential isolates were obtained which then crude cellulose production and enzyme activity tests were carried out using cellulose substrates such as Carboxymethyl Cellulose (CMC), and Filter Paper (FP) Whattman number 1. The exoglucanase enzyme activity was obtained between 0.069 IU/mL to 0.072 IU/mL. The activity test of endoglucanase enzyme was obtained between 0.069 IU / mL to 0.074 IU/mL. Cellulose degradation was obtained between 3.32% to 11.37%. Isolate that have the highest enzymatic activity and cellulose degradation ability was B2S8. Keywords: Cellulolytic bacteria, Cellulase enzyme, Enzyme activity, Congo red.
