Abstract

This study aimed to know and analyze the role of local government especially the local govern-ment of Bulukumba Regency, in the process of settling the agrarian conflict between PT. PP. London Sumatra and the civil society in Bulukumba Regency and to know the factors that caused the people to resist an extension of PT. PP. London Sumatra’s Rights to Exploit in Bulukumba Regency that will end in the next 2023. Type of research used in this research is de-scriptive with qualitative techniques, which will provide a clear and factual overview about the role of local government in the process of settling the agrarian conflict. The results of this study indicate that: 1) The role of local government especially the local government of Bulukumba Regency, in the process of settling the agrarian conflict between PT. PP. London Sumatra and the civil society in Bulukumba Regency is by making an attempt to conciliation and to form a team of complete conflicts. 2) The factors that caused the people to resist an extension of PT. PP. London Sumatra’s Rights to Exploit in Bulukumba Regency affected by two things that are the status of conflict is still unfinished and minimize contributions of PT. PP. London Sumatra for community and general local construction.

Abstract

This research aims to find out how the traditional institute of Balla west village in collecting and channeling aspirations to the developing community, as well as to know how customary institutions in improving activities in Balla West Village, Balla District, Mamasa Regency.The research method used is qualitative method with descriptive type. Data collection using literature study techniques, and interviews. Furthermore, the data are analyzed qualitatively. The results of this study indicate that first, the role of traditional institute in Balla west village in accommodating and channeling the aspirations of the community has not been implemented properly, it is seen from the parties responsible. The suggestions provided by the traditional institute can not be used well by the public in collecting information and responses, since they are inaccessible to all communities. As well as the traditional institute also does not schedule the right time to hold a joint meeting. Secondly, the role of the traditional institute in increasing community participation in this case does not exist, it is seen that the traditional institute in Balla west village are not proactive towards physical development. The program of physical development in Balla west village on the third party is transferred to an institution formed from the traditional institute.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the regional government policy in mining in the city of Samarinda, the impact of these policies in the socio-economic life and community life in the city of Samarinda and outlines the role of the government in overcoming socio-economic and enviromental impacts in people‘s lives. The research method used is qualitative research methods by describing and explaining research results in writing. Data collevtion is done using literature study techniques, observation, intrviews, and online data search. This study describes the Implementation of Regional Government Policies in Mining in the City of Samarinda, The implementation of policies implemented by the regional government is the Granting of Mining, Development, Community Conflict Business Licensing and Environmental Impact Monitoring of Mining Businesses, in the implementation of these policies is carried out quite well although the implementation is still not maximal because the implementation of the policy in this case the settlement of local government conflict is still lacking. The government's efforts in implementing mining policies should be more in favor of the interests and welfare of the community. Impact of the Local Government's Mining Policy in Samarinda City illustrates that the implementation of the policy if carried out seriously will have a more positive impact, but in its implementation the resulting impact is more directed to negative impacts such as environmental pollution, flooding, air pollution to noise this is because the government does not side with the interests and goodness of the community.

Abstract

Yogyakarta City is known as a city with a rich cultural heritage of the meaning philosophy of life for its citizens. Zero Kilometer point area is the public space of the Yogyakarta city which is located in the center of Yogyakarta city. Public space is an important element that portrays an urban image as space for social interaction and becomes an icon of a city. This study aims to determine strategy of Yogyakarta city goverment in effort to arrangement region at Zero Kilometer point Yogyakarta as public space with analysis using post-colonial criticism theory. The research method used qualitative descriptive by explaining effort to arrange area at Zero Kilometer point by Yogyakarta goverment using post-colonial theory in the concept of mimicry. The analysis show that Zero Kilometer point area is a public space that contains a variety of activities that shape the social interaction of its users from various communities. In addition, the concept of regional arrangement at the Zero Kilometer Yogyakarta mimics the architecture style of Dutch colonial buildings.

Abstract

This research aims to find out how the implementation of participatory development in Lauwa Village Belopa Utara District Luwu District and to know the factors that influence the implementation of participatory development in Lauwa Village Belopa Utara District Luwu District. The type of research used is descriptive analysis that is a type of research that aims to provide a systematic, factual and accurate description of existing data in the field about the implementation of partial development in Lauwa Village Belopa Utara District Luwu District. Data were collected using observation techniques, in-depth interviews, and literature studies. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of participatory development in Desa Lauwa has been well implemented from every process, including the process of development planning, development and evaluation/monitoring, but to achieve more active participation needs to be improved again in each process. Then there are several factors that influence the implementation of participative development in Lauwa village that is supporting and inhibiting factors, namely: a) Supporting Factors: Leadership of Village Head, Community Participation, Activity of Facilitator, Availability of Budget and the existence of Clear Regulation; b) Inhibiting Factors: Land Acquisition, Non-Governmental Organizations and Human Resources.

Abstract

This paper will analyze the power of the nobles who had differences in the results of the executive and legislature in Bone regency. The argument that the authors have built is the persistence of aristocratic power in the executive, but declined in the legislature due to several things, one of which, the declining power of Golkar in the legislature. Although, basically remained in power Golkar executive evident during the Election Day since 2003 in the district Bone current period (2013-2018) the candidate regent and deputy regent who win elections have never stretcher parties other than Golkar. Golkar Party, the nobility, and Bone did have a close bond complex to be separated. Bone is a barn Golkar in South Sulawesi.
