Abstract

This research conducted in the Timpag Village Kerambitan Tabanan. This location, which were selected purposively sampling consideration that there are fluctuations in a population of cattle a significant in the area because there is transfer of land use become the house. In additionthe last few years start many company offer a partnership system to farmers in this area. This research was conducted from 24 October- 24 November 2016. This research to identify sources risk on broiler farm, analyze the influence of production risk and revenues riskbroiler farm, analyze alternative strategy risk management on broiler farm.The data used in this research was primary and secondary data, this data is quantitative and qualitative.Data analyzed by using the method an analysis of risks, income analyzed by analysis income and r/c ratio, analyze alternative strategy risk of management. The result showed source of risk found is weather, disease, elimination chicken and etc. Price risk consists of price day old chick, feed, medicines, vitamins and output prices / selling price chicken. Suela farm get average value R/C of 1,04 during the period observation 10 production. R/C value >1 obtained Suela Farm in the production period I until the X production period. This indicates that in the production period I until X Suela broiler chicken farm experienced advantage.

Abstract

Organic fertilizer is required to improve the growth and yield of Indigofera zollingeriana. One could be used is biogas slurry which is excess product of biogas. The experiment aims to find out growth and yield of Indigofera zollingeriana leguminose given different kinds and level of slurry. The experiment carried out for 10 weeks at Laboratory Greenhouse of Feed Plant, Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Udayana University. Experiment design was used completely randomize design (CRD) factorial pattern with two factors. The first factor was sources of slurry: which were cattle slurry (S), pig slurry (B), and cattle bio-slurry (P), the second factor was level of slurry: without slurry (0 ton/ha) (D0), 10 ton/ha (D10), 20 ton/ha (D20), and 30 ton/ha (D30). There were combination of 12 treatments and each of combination was repeated four times, so there were 48 pots study. Variabeles observed were growth, yield, and growth characteristic. Results of the study showed that cattle bio-slurry gave the highest growth, yield, and growth characteristics compare with cattle and pig slurry. Indigofera zollingeriana which were given 10 ton/ha (D10) resulted in thegive the highest growth, yield, and growth characteristics compare with 0 ton/ha (D10), 20 ton/ha (D20), and 30 ton/ha (D30). There was no interaction between the type and level of fertilizer against growth and forage yield. It was concluded that cattle bio-slurry of 10 ton/ha (D10) geve the best growth and yield of Indigofera zollingeriana and there was no interaction between kinds and level of slurry. Abstract

Pig farming mostly done at Kanatang Sub District, East Sumba State, however the maintenance was inadequate. It made the productivity of pig farming was not optimal yet. The purpose of the research is to: 1) know the relation about the level of the knowledge and attitude of the farmer to the implementation of the pigs farming management at Kanatang Sub district; 2) knowthe level of the knowledge, attitude and the implementation of the pigs farming management at Kanatang Sub district. This research was conducted at Kanatang Sub district, East Sumba State. The respondent of this research was 50 persons which came from in Kanatang Sub district. The sample taking as the respondents used the method of “ Stratified Random Sampling”. The kind of data used in this research were primary and secondary data.The primary data obtained from direct interview and observatitio,the secondary obtained from the information existed in The Departement of Animal Husbandry of East Sumba. The analysis used in this research was qualitative analysis and Spearman level of correlation test. The result of the research showed that level of the pig farm maintenance at Kanatang Sub District include of the good category, the level of the farmers’ knowledge about the management of the pig farm include in high category, the attitude of the farmers about the management of the pig farm maintenance include in positive category. The factor of age and knowledge have the insignificant relation (P>0,10) with the level of pig farm maintenance management, while the farm owning and the attitude have significant relation (P<0,10) with the level of management implementation of pig farming, and knowledge have really significant relation (P<0,01) with the management implementation of pig farming at Kanatang Sub District. Abstract

The research was conducted to aim the correlation between stem diameter and height cut off plant to the production of Gliricidia sepium “provenance” Retalhuleu used alley cropping which planted in dry land. Research was conducted in Dusun Belawah Sari, Pecatu Village, South Kuta District, Badung Regency during the 6 months of the research. The research method used sample purposive random sampling survey method. The observed variables are plant height, stem diameter, number of branches, number of leaves, dry weight of branch, and dry weight of leaf. The data obtained were analyzed by description and correlation and multiple linear regression. The results showed that there was a significant multiple linear relationship between gamal (y) production with stem diameter (x1) and cut off plant height (x2). The production of forage gamal "provenance" Retalhuleu is positively correlated and low coefficient of determination (R2) value to forage production. Based on the research results can be concluded there is a positive or significantly relationship between stem diameter and height of plant on the production of forage Gliricidia sepium and but low contribution between stem diameter and height of plant to forage gamal production are low. Abstract

283 This study aimed to to determine the process of making suckling pig made from raw bali pig and composition of spices. This research was conducted at the company of suckling pig made from raw the bali pig owned by Made Sunaka which is located in Banjar Pegending, Dalung Village, North Kuta District. The research conducted for 2 months that is from July until August 2016. The data used in this research is primary data which analyzed descriptively and financial analysis can be determined based on earnings analysis and R/C ratio. The research, the process of making suckling pig the bali pigs include the process of slaughtering, cleaning the epidermis skin, spawning the internal organs, piercing the pig with a rolling tool, tying the mouth and all four legs, filling the spice in pork belly and young water coconut. Next the pigs are lifted and placed on the pig's place with the pig's position beside the embers as they rotate the rolling tool. The color of pig bolsters from white to reddish brown looks soft pork bolsters are ripe. Suckling pigremoved from the next roll is done the packaging process. Spice ingredients used to make suckling pig made from raw bali pigis complete seasoning which consists of 18 types of spices ingredients typical of Bali. Seasoning ingredients consist of onion, garlic, turmeric, greater galingale, galangale, chili, ginger, pecan, nutmeg, (Piper retrofactum), pepper, lemongrass, coconut oil, Acoroscalamus, coriander and salt. The value of shrinkage of pigs bali after becoming pig bolster is the greater the weight of pig bolsters the smaller the shrinkage. Financial analysis of the suckling pig bolsters business owned by Made Sunaka show the total cost for 2 months is Rp 88.249.553. Total revenue Rp 96.950.000, profit earned Rp 8.700.447 and R/C ratio that is 1.10. The results of financial analysis show that the effort of suckling pig owned by Made Sunaka is feasible to run.

Abstract

This study aim to determine the effect of dragon fruit with Saccharomyces cereviseae on diets to chicken carcass age of 10 weeks. This research has been conducted in the Faculty of Animal Husbandry Research Station, Jimbaran, Badung Regency for 100 weeks. Chickens used were 100 head of local chicken (Gallus domesticus). The design use was Completely randomized design with four treatments and five replications.The control diet is chicken were offered diets without dragon fruit (RKBN0), diets with skin dragon fruit fermented Saccharomycescerevisiae 5% (RKBN1), diets with skin dragon fruit fermented Saccharomycescerevisiae 7% (RKBN2), and diets with skin dragon fruit fermented Saccharomycescerevisiae 9% (RKBN3). Drinking water and feed were offered ad libitum. The variables measured were: slaughter weight, carcass weight, and carcass percentage and parts of carcass. The results showed that administration of dragon fruit peel fermented with Saccharomyces cerevisiae7% (RKBN2) and 9% (RKBN3) differ significantly (P<0.05) compared with that obtained ration chicken without skin dragon fruit fermented with Saccharomyces cerevisiae (RKBN0) in the variable slaughter weight, carcass weight, breast weight, and the weight of the wing just carcass percentage, weight back and thigh weights had no significant (P>0.05). Based on research can be concluded that the administration of skin dragon fruit fermented Saccharomyces cerevisiae as much as 9% (RKBN3) on chicken can increase slaughter weight, carcass weight, and part of carcass (breast and wing) and the provision of as much as 7% (RKBN2) can increase the weight beef, carcass weight and carcass recahan on the wings while giving as much as 5% (RKBN1 ) does not affect the slaughter weight, carcass weight, carcass percentage and parts carcass on (weight breast, wings, back and thighs).

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the effect usage waste of wine as feed to physical quality of local male rabbit (Lepus nigricollis) meat. This research was conducted in Tejakula Village, Buleleng Regency and conducted 16 weeks used 18 local male around 5 – 6 weeks old. This research used randomized block design with three treatments and six blocks as replicates. The treatments were local male rabbits without waste of wine on diets as control (P0), local male rabbits with 5 % waste of wine on diets (P1), and local male rabbits with 10 % waste of wine on diets (P2). The variables in this reasearch were acidity of color meat, pH of meat, water holding capacity of meat, cooking loss, and drip loss. The results showed that rabbit offered diets containing different level waste of wine caused non significant different (P>0,05) to physical quality of local male rabbit meat. Based on the results of the research can be concluded that usage 5 % and 10 % waste of wine on diets not affected to physical quality of local male rabbit meat. Abstract

A research had been carried out to analysis the management production and financial feasibility of analyzing business of fattening Landrace pigs crossbreed from November 2016 to February 2017 in the UD. Intan Ray located in Gadungan Villages, Tabanan. The research were used the primary and secondary data. The financial feasibility of the business was determined based on the results of the analysis of investment criteria, the analysis of the Pay Back Period and Break Even Point. The research showed that UD. Intan Ray has paid attention to several aspects in the pig fattening management including: the selection of piglets, cage, feed, disease prevention and handling, labour, and marketing but they aren’t yet maximal. The business has Net Present Value/NPV of Rp 149.351.115,- IRR 30,97%, Net B/C 1,61, Pay Back Period 1,37 year and Break Even Point achived on 4,82 years. The results of the analysis showed that this business are feasible when the number of maintenance pigs were more than 33 animals/year or the selling price more than Rp. 22.390/kg. Thus it can be concluded that fattening pigs of Landrace crossbreed at UD. Intan Ray wass feasible financially. Keywords: fattening pigs, financial feasibility, Landrace pigs crossbreed

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the quality of the chicken meats that are sold in some markets in Denpasar. The research was conducted over 3 months from September to November 2016. The research used Randomized block design (RBD) with 4 treatments and 4 times replications. The research used market as the treatment, Badung market is used as treatment B, Kreneng market as treatment K, Sanglah market as treatment S, Pemedilan market as treatment P. Chicken meats used in this research are the chests, which are collected from some traders in some markets in Denpasar city. Variable observed in this research include two aspects. Descriptive aspect is directly monitored in the process of physical pollution of chicken meat in the cutting process from beginning to end. Quantitative aspects include the value of pH , water holding capacity, cooking loss, and protein contents.The result showed that acidity/pH, water holding capacity, cooking loss and protein contents of meat were distributed at market samples (all treatments) were not significantly (P>0,05), normally and savety. Acidity/pH of meat at all treatments (S, K, B, dan P) had value 5.75, 6.02, 6.01, 6.03 respectively. Water holding capacity of meat were 15.81 % (S), 15.88 % (K), 13.46 % (B), 15.00 % (P). Cooking loss of meat on each treatments were 25.82 % (S), 25.50 % (K), 24.26 % (B), 25.46 % (P). The protein contents of meat were 19.76 %, 20.15 %, 20.43 %, 19.99 % for treatments S, K, B, and P respectively. It was concluded that chicken meat were distribute on several market in Denpasar city had physical chemistry quality on broad of normally and savety for consumtion.
