Abstract

This study aims to develop a valid, practical, and effective android-based mathematics learning media product using Articulate Storyline 3 on the Pythagorean theorem for eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 3 Kupang. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE development model, which consists of the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The validity level of learning media, as assessed by the three validators, is 4.78, which falls into the “valid” category. The feasibility og the learning media in terms of practicality in the small-scale trial yielded an average total practicality score of 4.68, which falls into the “practical” category. The feasibility of the learning media in terms of effectiveness, as measured by the percentage of learning completion using the learning media, yielded a result of 80%, which falls into the “very effective” category. In the large-scale trial, the average practicality of the learning media from subject teachers was 4.8 and from students was 4.7, which falls into the “practical” category, and the learning media feasibility results for the effectiveness level, the percentage of learning completion using the learning media was 85.71%, so the learning media falls into the “very effective” category. Thus, learning media suitable for use in the learning process it meets the criteria of validity, practicality, and effectiveness.
