Abstract

Work accident is an event that is clearly unwanted and often unexpected which can cause loss of time, property or loss of life that occurs in an industrial work process or related to it. The role of Occupational Safety and Health (K3) is vital, apart from being an aspect of protecting the workforce it also plays a role in protecting company assets. Personal Protective Equipment is a tool that has the ability to protect someone whose function is to isolate part or all of the body from potential hazards in the workplace. This study aims to analyze the behavior of using PPE towards work accidents in palm oil factory workers. This research is a research in the form of Literature Review. The results of the literature review on the findings of the first article are that there are 2 factors that have a significant relationship, namely knowledge (p=0.023) and attitude (p=0.019). The findings in the second article are factors related to the incidence of work accidents in workers are knowledge, action and work environment factors while attitudes and compliance with procedures are not factors related to the occurrence of work accidents in workers in the production section of the palm oil factory. The findings in the third article are there is a relationship between the use of PPE with work accidents in coconut workers with a p value of 0.020. The findings in the fourth article are that almost all 63 workers (92.07%) workers do not use Personal Protective Equipment incompletely and out of 63 workers almost all (90.48%) workers do not often experience work accidents. The findings in the fifth article are that workers who do not fully use PPE are 3.9 times more at risk of experiencing work accidents compared to workers who use PPE completely

Abstract

Use of personal protective equipment is one way to prevent pesticide poisoning. Pesticides can enter the body through the skin and respiratory system. According to WHO, 400,000 to 2 million people worldwide experience pesticide poisoning. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of health education about the use of personal protective equipment on farmer behavior. This research is a research in the form of Literature Review. Researchers conducted searches on several search engines including: Google Scholar, Pubmed using the keywords "Counseling" AND "Personal Protective Equipment" AND "Farmers". Results: The articles used in this study were 8 articles that met the study requirements and criteria. The results showed that there was an influence of health education about the use of personal protective equipment on farmer behavior. Based on research conducted in a literature review, it can be concluded that there is an influence of counseling on personal protective equipment on farmer behavior

Abstract

Work fatigue is a common problem among B3 ground transportation drivers which can have a negative impact on their health and performance. One of the factors that can affect the level of work fatigue is long working hours. This study aims to identify and analyze the effect of working time on work fatigue in B3 ground transportation drivers. This study used a survey research method and data collection was carried out through questionnaires distributed to B3 ground transportation drivers who are actively working in several transportation companies. The questionnaire collects information about the characteristics of the respondents, working time, and the level of fatigue experienced by the driver.

Abstract

Musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) are health problems involving the joints, muscles, tendons, skeleton, cartilage, ligaments and nerves. The level of MSDs from the mildest to the most severe will interfere with concentration at work, cause fatigue and will ultimately reduce productivity. The agricultural sector is one of the jobs that has a potential risk of musculoskeletal disorders that have an impact on health related to their work which can cause several diseases and permanent disabilities. This study aims to determine the relationship between work posture and musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) in farmers. This research is a research in the form of Literature Review. Researchers conducted searches on several search engines including: Google Scholar, Pubmed using the keywords "Working Posture" AND "Muscoluskeletal Disorders Complaints" AND "Farmers". Results: The articles used in this study were 8 articles that met the study requirements and criteria. The results showed that the cause of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) in farmers was work postures that were not ergonomic. Work posture is one of the factors causing MSDs where musculoskeletal complaints or MSDs are in the form of pain in the joints, ligaments, cartilage, skeleton and nerves. The emergence of these disorders causes a lack of concentration when working, fatigue and decreased productivity. Based on research conducted in a literature review, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between work posture and complaints of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) in farmers.
