Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan manajemen mutu berbasis siklus Plan-Do-Check-Action (PDCA) di Pondok Pesantren Al Muayyad Mangkuyudan Surakarta dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam terhadap informan kunci. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi PDCA telah berjalan secara sistematis dan terintegrasi dengan prinsip Total Quality Management (TQM). Pada tahap perencanaan (plan), lembaga menyusun rencana strategis dan kurikulum secara berkala. Tahap pelaksanaan (do) diwujudkan melalui optimalisasi sumber daya manusia dan sarana. Tahap evaluasi (check) dilakukan melalui pengawasan internal dan eksternal, termasuk akreditasi. Sementara itu, tahap tindakan (action) berupa perbaikan berkelanjutan berdasarkan hasil evaluasi. Penerapan ini berdampak pada peningkatan mutu akademik dan kepuasan stakeholder. Dengan demikian, penerapan manajemen mutu berbasis PDCA terbukti efektif dalam menciptakan sistem pendidikan yang adaptif, berkelanjutan, dan berkualitas. Kata Kunci: Manajemen mutu, PDCA, TQM, Pesantren, Kualitas pendidikan ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze the implementation of quality management based on the Plan-Do-Check-Action (PDCA) cycle at the Al Muayyad Mangkuyudan Islamic Boarding School in Surakarta in improving the quality of education. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews with key informants. The result of the study indicate that the implementation of PDCA has been carried out systematically and integrated with the principles of Total Quality Management (TQM). At the planning stage (plan), the institution prepares strategic plans and curriculum periodically. The implementation stage (do) is realized through the optimization of human resources and infrastructure. The evaluation stage (check) is carried out through internal and external supervision, including accreditation. Meanwhile, the action stage (action) is in the form of continuous improvement based on the evaluation results. This implementation has an impact on improving academic quality and stakeholder satisfaction. Thus, the implementation of PDCA-based quality management has proven effective in creating an adaptive, sustainable, and quality education system.
