Abstract

Fenomena brainrot akibat konsumsi konten TikTok yang berlebihan telah menjadi perhatian global, terutama di kalangan Generasi Z. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi pola perilaku penggunaan TikTok mahasiswa Universitas Satya Terra Bhinneka dan mengembangkan website edukasi digital sebagai solusi literasi digital. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan Waterfall dengan tahapan analisis kebutuhan melalui kuesioner kepada 56 responden, desain sistem menggunakan wireframe dan flowchart, implementasi menggunakan HTML, CSS, dan JavaScript, serta pengujian fungsionalitas dan usability. Instrumen penelitian memiliki reliabilitas sangat tinggi dengan nilai Cronbach's Alpha lebih besar dari 0,90. Hasil analisis menunjukkan mayoritas mahasiswa mengakses TikTok 3-5 kali per hari dengan durasi 30 menit hingga 1 jam, dominan pada malam hari. Mahasiswa menunjukkan sikap positif terhadap website edukasi dengan kebutuhan utama meliputi konten edukatif brainrot, panduan digital wellbeing, dan self-assessment. Pengujian menunjukkan 85% pengguna menyatakan website mudah digunakan dengan peningkatan pemahaman literasi digital sebesar 40%. Website efektif sebagai media edukasi untuk meningkatkan kesadaran mahasiswa terhadap dampak negatif penggunaan TikTok berlebihan. Abstract The brainrot phenomenon due to excessive TikTok content consumption has become a global concern, especially among Generation Z. This research aims to identify TikTok usage behavior patterns of Satya Terra Bhinneka University students and develop a digital education website as a digital literacy solution. The research method uses a Waterfall approach with stages of needs analysis through questionnaires to 56 respondents, system design using wireframes and flowcharts, implementation using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, as well as functionality and usability testing. The research instrument has very high reliability with Cronbach's Alpha value greater than 0.90. The analysis results show that the majority of students access TikTok 3-5 times per day with a duration of 30 minutes to 1 hour, predominantly at night. Students show a positive attitude towards educational websites with main needs including brainrot educational content, digital wellbeing guides, and self-assessment. Testing shows 85% of users stated the website is easy to use with an increase in digital literacy understanding by 40%. The website is effective as an educational medium to increase student awareness of the negative impacts of excessive TikTok usage.
