Abstract

The implementation of quality standards in Islamic education within educational institutions is a crucial aspect of modern educational management. This study adopts a qualitative approach with a library research method, analysing various relevant sources of literature. The findings reveal that the quality standards of Islamic education, according to Thu’aimah, are holistic and integral, encompassing spiritual, intellectual, moral, and social dimensions. These standards are implemented through stages of planning, implementation, evaluation, and quality control in educational management. The implementation is realized through the formulation of a vision and mission based on Islamic values, the development of an integrative curriculum, the implementation of Islamic-based learning, and continuous and holistic evaluation as a means of improving education quality. This study concludes that the ideas of Thu’aimah have strong relevance to contemporary educational quality management concepts and can serve as a conceptual foundation for managing Islamic educational institutions in a professional, sustainable manner, oriented toward the development of morally upright individuals. For future research, it is recommended to explore the practical challenges and success factors in applying these quality standards across various Islamic educational institutions with diverse cultural and regional contexts.

Abstract

Inclusive Arabic language learning in Islamic boarding schools faces significant challenges in supporting students with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), a neurodevelopmental condition that can lead to academic underachievement and social difficulties if unmanaged. Grounded in neurolinguistic and educational psychology perspectives, this study examines the implementation, effectiveness, and advantages of the study buddy technique for improving Arabic competence among students with ADHD at an Islamic boarding school in Pamekasan, Madura. A qualitative case study design was employed, utilising observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, with data analysed using Miles and Huberman's framework of reduction, display, and verification. The findings reveal that the study buddy technique was implemented through structured stages within a pull-out system, including identifying learning difficulties, presenting material, repetition, correction, reinforcing meaning, and gradual instruction. From a neurolinguistic perspective, this approach effectively stimulated auditory and visual processing, improved learning focus, and reduced anxiety. The study concludes that the study buddy technique is an effective inclusive learning strategy for students with ADHD in Arabic instruction. It is recommended that Islamic boarding schools adopt this technique more widely and that future research include quantitative and experimental designs to measure long-term neuropsychological impacts.

Abstract

School principals play a strategic role in improving the quality of learning through the implementation of systematic academic supervision and educational evaluation. This article analyzes this role by integrating Juwdat Izzat Atwi's educational management concept in Al-Idarah al-Madrasiyah al-Hadithah with empirical findings from various national studies. Through a comprehensive literature review, this study identifies how Atwi's principles of visionary leadership, strategic planning, ongoing supervision, and data-driven evaluation can be applied in the context of Indonesian schools. The results show that supervision conducted objectively and collaboratively, accompanied by follow-up coaching, can improve teachers' pedagogical competence and learning quality. Conversely, supervision that is solely administrative in nature does not have a significant impact. Educational evaluation has proven to be crucial as a basis for decision-making and program improvement, especially when supported by accurate data analysis. This study concludes that integrating supervision and evaluation within a single Atwi-based management cycle can strengthen internal school quality assurance and support the implementation of the Independent Curriculum. Recommendations are provided for strengthening principal competencies in coaching, data analysis, and the application of professional supervision

Abstract

This study aims to analyse and synthesize the application of Total Quality Management (TQM) in Islamic higher education based on the thoughts of Rusdi Ahmad Thu'aimah. TQM has been widely adopted as a management approach to ensure continuous quality improvement in higher education, focusing on stakeholder satisfaction and academic service enhancement. However, the implementation of TQM often emphasizes administrative and procedural aspects, neglecting the improvement of the classroom learning process, which is central to determining graduate competencies. A qualitative approach using literature study methods was employed to explore this issue and examine Thu'aimah's ideas. The study finds that Thu'aimah’s concepts, such as clarity of learning objectives, a communicative approach, competency grading, and continuous evaluation, align with TQM principles, suggesting a potential synergy between the two. The integration of TQM with a pedagogical foundation could strengthen the quality assurance system in Islamic universities, improving both administrative and learning outcomes. The research also highlights that more focus should be placed on enhancing classroom learning processes alongside accreditation standards. Moreover, TQM’s emphasis on stakeholder satisfaction can drive institutional improvements and better graduate competencies. In conclusion, the study recommends further research into practical frameworks that integrate TQM with teaching and learning strategies to holistically improve academic quality in Islamic higher education.
