Abstract

Instagram has expanded into a business area which is a way to promote and sell products or goods to other Instagram users which is commonly called an online shop. This analysis aims to describe the locutionary speech acts contained in the comments column of the olshop account on Instagram. The data sources in this analysis are several olshop accounts on Instagram. In this analysis, data were analyzed using locutionary speech acts, namely speech acts that state something. According to Chaer and Agustina, locutionary speech acts are divided into three, namely locutionary speech acts in the form of questions, locutionary speech acts in the form of statements, and locutionary speech acts in the form of orders. From the results of the analysis of the twenty data collected, there were 13 data included in the three locutionary speech acts, namely 9 data including locutionary speech acts in the form of questions, 2 data including locutionary speech acts in the form of statements, and 2 data which includes locutionary speech acts in the form of commands.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify and describe external code mixing, internal code mixing and mixed code mixing on shopee social media. This study uses the theory of Sayama Malabar, Chaer and Agustina, Padmadewi et al, Nababan and Suardi. The method used in this study is a qualitative method using an analysis of the use of code mixing on shopee social media. The data analysis technique is used by learning about code mixing on Shopee's social media, studying the words found on Shopee's social media, concluding the results of the analysis. This research instrument is used to record code mixing on shopee social media. The results of this study obtained 50 code-mixed data, there were mixed code inside 5 with all 10 words, outside code mixed 40 with all words 840, and mixed code mixed 5 with all 91 words.

Abstract

This data is entitled Facebook's Presupposition “Rizky Billar Had Said He Wanted to Retire from the Entertainment World”. This research is an attempt to identify and analyze the types and meanings of presuppositions on Facebook. The data used in this study are in the form of comments on Facebook. The data are analyzed using the following steps. (1) Read comments on Facebook social media, (2) Mark each word or sentence that contains a form of presupposition, (3) Classify based on the types of presuppositions, (4) Summarize the data that has been presented carefully. Facebook data contains comments as many as 24 comments. In this research, the author uses a descriptive method that analyzes based on the theory of George Yule (1996) there are six types of presuppositions. The results of the study concluded that there are six types of presuppositions in Facebook social media, namely: existential presuppositions, active presuppositions, lexical presuppositions, structural presuppositions, inactive presuppositions, and counteractive presuppositions.

Abstract

One form of information and communication media that is very popular at this time is YouTube. This media can be used as a place to share videos with one another, be it videos that provide educational content, tutorials, up-to-date information, or documentary videos of one's personal life. Therefore, the forms of speech contained in YouTube are very diverse. With the various forms of speech contained on YouTube, there are also forms of politeness in speaking. Language politeness according to Geoffrey Leech, namely Geoffrey Leech divides the principles of politeness into six maxims, namely; tact maxim, generosity maxim, appreciation maxim ( approbation maxim), modesty maxim, and sympathy maxim. The author conducted this analysis with the aim of describing language politeness in the comments contained on the Tvonenews YouTube channel entitled Drama Lesti Billar's Domestic Violence Case. The data source in this study is the Tvonenews YouTube channel titled Lesti Billar's Domestic Violence Case Drama which has a video duration of 5 minutes 48 seconds, and was published on October 25 2022. Data analysis was carried out using the politeness maxim. In this analysis it was found that there were five of the six maxims of politeness in Leech's language on the Tvonenews YouTube channel entitled Drama of the Lesti Billar Domestic Violence Case from the 25 data there were 20 data included in the 5 maxims, namely: 4 tact maxims, 2 generosity maxims (generosity maxim), 4 approbation maxims, 3 modesty maxims, and 7 sympathy maxims.

Abstract

One form of information and communication media that is very popular at this time is Instagram. This media can be used as a place to share videos and photos with each other. Not only that, there are also various features for users to interact with each other. One of them is the comment feature, which is a place for Instagram users to express their opinions. Therefore, there are many forms of presupposition in Instagram comments, and they are very diverse. With the various forms of speech contained in Instagram, there are also forms of preponderance. George Yule also divides the types of presupposition into six namely existential (existenziell), factive (faktiv), non-active (nichtfaktiv), lexical (lexikalisch), structural (strukturell), and counterfactual (kontrafaktisch) presuppositions. This analysis aims to describe the presuppositions in the comments contained in Instragram comments about Teddty Minahasa. The source of the data in this analysis is comments from Instagram netizens regarding the case of Teddy Minahasa. The results of the analysis found pragmatic presuppositions based on the types of presuppositions namely; factive presuppositions and lexical presuppositions. In this analysis it was found that there were 3 factive presupposition data and 5 lexical presupposition data.
