Abstract

ABSTRACT Water is a basic human necessity, particularly as a source of safe drinking water. In Sinah Hamlet, Pengembur Village, Pujut District, the community still relies on bore wells as the primary source of clean water; however, the quality is potentially affected by environmental conditions such as poor sanitation, domestic waste, and the proximity of septic tanks. This study aims to determine the quality of bore well water based on physical, chemical, and biological parameters and to compare it with the quality standards of Indonesian Ministry of Health Regulation No. 2 of 2023. The method used is a quantitative descriptive approach by analyzing physical parameters (turbidity, odor, taste, TDS), chemical parameters (pH and iron), and biological parameters (E. coli) at 11 bore well locations. Measurements of physical parameters and pH were conducted in situ, while chemical and biological parameters were tested in the laboratory. The results show that most wells meet the quality standards; however, some exceed the permissible limits, including high turbidity in well 3 (3.603 NTU) and well 8 (14.535 NTU), odor in well 8, iron levels in well 8 (0.351 mg/L) and well 9 (0.42 mg/L), and E. coli contamination in six wells with the highest value found in well 10 (420 MPN/mL). In conclusion, bore well water in Sinah Hamlet is not suitable for direct consumption without treatment, particularly due to biological contamination; therefore, improvements in environmental sanitation and community education are necessary. ABSTRAK Air merupakan kebutuhan dasar manusia, khususnya sebagai sumber air minum yang aman. Di Dusun Sinah, Desa Pengembur, Kecamatan Pujut, masyarakat masih bergantung pada sumur bor sebagai sumber utama air bersih, namun kualitasnya berpotensi terpengaruh oleh kondisi lingkungan seperti sanitasi yang buruk, limbah domestik, serta keberadaan septic tank yang berdekatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kualitas air sumur bor berdasarkan parameter fisik, kimia, dan biologi serta membandingkannya dengan baku mutu Permenkes No. 2 Tahun 2023. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dengan analisis parameter fisik (kekeruhan, bau, rasa, TDS), kimia (pH dan besi), serta biologi (E. coli) pada 11 titik sumur bor. Pengukuran parameter fisik dan pH dilakukan secara insitu, sedangkan parameter kimia dan biologi diuji di laboratorium. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar sumur memenuhi baku mutu, namun beberapa melebihi ambang batas, yaitu kekeruhan tinggi pada sumur 3 (3,603 NTU) dan sumur 8 (14,535 NTU), bau pada sumur 8, kadar besi pada sumur 8 (0,351 mg/L) dan sumur 9 (0,42 mg/L), serta kontaminasi E. coli pada enam sumur dengan nilai tertinggi pada sumur 10 (420 MPN/mL). Kesimpulannya, air sumur bor di Dusun Sinah belum layak dikonsumsi langsung tanpa pengolahan, terutama akibat pencemaran biologis, sehingga diperlukan perbaikan sanitasi lingkungan dan edukasi masyarakat.
