Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan profil cyanobacteria berfilamen di perairan Pulau Tunda, Banten, melalui analisis keanekaragaman, kelimpahan, dan identifikasi genus. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan pada dua stasiun pengamatan menggunakan plankton net, kemudian dianalisis secara mikroskopis untuk menentukan genus yang teridentifikasi, menghitung kelimpahan, serta mendeskripsikan ciri morfologi sebagai pendukung identifikasi taksonomi. Keanekaragaman dianalisis menggunakan indeks Shannon Wiener (H’). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya delapan genus cyanobacteria berfilamen, yaitu Oscillatoria, Aphanizomenon, Anabaena, Lyngbya, Microcoleus, Phormidium, Spirulina, dan Nodularia. Genus Oscillatoria dan Aphanizomenon menunjukkan kelimpahan tertinggi pada kedua stasiun. Nilai indeks keanekaragaman berada pada kategori sedang, mengindikasikan komunitas yang relatif stabil tanpa dominansi ekstrem. Ciri morfologi antar genus memperlihatkan variasi bentuk filamen, ukuran sel, struktur trikom, serta keberadaan heterosit yang menjadi dasar pembeda takson. Penelitian ini memberikan profil awal cyanobacteria berfilamen di perairan Pulau Tunda dan dapat digunakan sebagai data dasar untuk pemantauan ekologi jangka panjang dan pengelolaan lingkungan perairan.Kata kunci: cyanobacteria berfilamen, keanekaragaman, kelimpahan, morfologi, Pulau Tunda.ABSTRACTThis study aims to describe the profile of filamentous cyanobacteria in the waters of Tunda Island, Banten, through analysis of diversity, abundance, and genus identification. Sampling was conducted at two observation stations using plankton nets, and the samples were then analyzed microscopically to identify the genera, calculate abundance, and describe morphological characteristics to support taxonomic identification. Diversity was analyzed using the Shannon-Wiener index (H’). The results showed the presence of eight genera of filamentous cyanobacteria, namely Oscillatoria, Aphanizomenon, Anabaena, Lyngbya, Microcoleus, Phormidium, Spirulina, and Nodularia. The genera Oscillatoria and Aphanizomenon showed the highest abundance at both stations. The diversity index value fell within the moderate category, indicating a relatively stable community with moderate dominance. Morphological characteristics between genera exhibited variations in filament shape, cell size, trichome structure, and the presence of heterocysts, which serve as the basis for taxon differentiation. This study provides an initial profile of filamentous cyanobacteria in the waters of Tunda Island. It can be used as baseline data for long-term ecological monitoring and aquatic environmental management.Keywords: filamentous cyanobacteria, diversity, aphorisms, morphology, Tunda Island.
