Abstract

This study investigates the difficulties in assessing educational learning outcomes through cognitive and constructivist theoretical frameworks. It uses a qualitative case study method and looks at secondary data from academic journals, education reports, statistics, and news sources. The main findings show that traditional assessment systems, which focus on final products, don't do a good job of measuring students' advanced thinking skills and deep understanding of concepts. According to learning theory, behaviorism encourages score-driven motivation through reinforcement, cognitivism emphasizes process-oriented cognitive evaluation, and constructivism requires tools to evaluate learners' independent knowledge construction. So, solutions include using real-world methods like projects, portfolios, and Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) tests, along with teaching that focuses on the student. So, assessments of learning outcomes should lead to deeper, more meaningful learning and raise the overall level of education.

Abstract

The learning process of elementary school students in Indonesia's 3T (Tertinggal, Terluar, Termiskin) areas faces significant challenges due to low motivation and inadequate basic facilities, reflected by a PISA score of 366 and a 15.2% dropout rate. This study examines the application of Skinner's behavioristic theory through Token economy to optimize basic memorization and literacy skills. Employing a qualitative library research approach, the analysis synthesizes 17 sources spanning 1927-2026, focusing on positive reinforcement via weekly rewards of Rp2,000 per student. Problem formulations address (1) the absence of systematic reward systems in remote classrooms, and (2) inconsistent reinforcement of memorization behaviors. Objectives include designing a localized Token economy model and projecting a 20-point increase in simulated PISA scores within 6 months. Findings confirm behaviorism's 4% highest relevance for this context. Practical benefits provide implementation guidelines for 3T elementary teachers and policy recommendations for the Ministry of Education to save Rp120 billion in national dropout costs.

Abstract

Educational inequality in remote areas still occurs a lot, especially in 3T (Disadvantaged, Frontier, and Outermost) areas until now it is still a quite serious problem. With geographical conditions that are very difficult to reach, limited educators, and lack of educational facilities that make access to learning for children in the area uneven. With the essence of learning theory from Ki Hajar Dewantara who strongly views that the learning process should provide space for the development of children's creation, taste, and karsa freely, not just the other way around. On the other hand, it can be seen by the among method and the cooperation of the three educational centers, families, schools, and communities in rural environments. This research uses secondary data based on official reports, news, and journal articles according to problems that often arise. At the end of the analysis, it shows that there are still a lot of obstacles in terms of education in remote areas because the learning environment is not supportive for the optimal development of students' potential. Based on the conditions that occur, the application of the among approach by teachers, the role of the community itself, and the development of a curriculum that is better than before are important steps to encourage the creation of a more inclusive and equitable education.

Abstract

The change in the learning system during the COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on the quality of student learning outcomes. The transformation from face-to-face to online learning has led to reduced direct interaction, limited learning experiences, and decreased understanding of the material. This condition has triggered a decline in learning outcomes that is still felt in the post-pandemic period. This article aims to analyze this phenomenon using the perspective of constructivist theory. The method applied is a case study based on secondary data obtained from scientific journals, educational reports, and other relevant sources. The results of the analysis show that the lack of active engagement, minimal contextual experience, and limited interaction during the learning process are the main factors influencing the decline in students' academic abilities. Based on these findings, it is necessary to implement student-centered learning strategies, such as interactive discussions, collaboration, and experience-based learning, in order to improve the quality of learning outcomes.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted the education sector, particularly in reducing students' learning discipline. The transition from face-to-face learning to online learning, followed by the return to offline learning in the post-pandemic period, has led to decreased motivation and weakened study habits among students. This article aims to analyze the phenomenon of low student learning discipline after the pandemic using the behaviorism learning theory perspective. The method used is a case study based on secondary data obtained from scientific journals, educational reports, and relevant literature. Behaviorism emphasizes that learning behavior is influenced by stimulus and response, strengthened through reinforcement. The results of the analysis indicate that low learning discipline is caused by a lack of positive reinforcement, weak environmental control, and changes in learning habits during online learning. Therefore, the proposed solutions include the application of positive reinforcement, the establishment of consistent learning habits, and strengthening the role of teachers and the learning environment in shaping disciplined behavior among students.

Abstract

The development of digital learning in Indonesia has brought ease of access to information, but on the other hand, new problems have emerged in the form of information overload, which affects students' thinking abilities. This condition is related to the limited capacity of working memory within cognitive learning theory, which emphasizes that the process of understanding information requires structured processing. This article aims to examine how information overload impacts students' cognitive processing in digital learning. The method used is a literature study by reviewing various national scientific journals and books relevant to cognitivist theory and the stated topic. The analysis shows that excessive exposure to information can disrupt focus, reduce concept comprehension, and cause mental fatigue in students. This occurs because the information received excessively exceeds the inadequate capacity for processing in working memory, resulting in suboptimal storage of memory in long-term memory. Therefore, more structured learning strategies are needed, such as simplifying materials, using more proportional media, and managing cognitive load to make the learning process more effective and lighter for students.
