Abstract

Church leadership with integrity is a major challenge today. Melchizedek, a biblical figure of leadership (Genesis 14 and Hebrews 7), serves as a special example because he was both a priest and a king who had no beginning or end. This study aims to determine how Melchizedek's leadership with integrity can be applied by the leaders of the Indonesian Bethel Church in Manokwari. The method used in this research is a qualitative study through reading and reviewing various books and writings. The results indicate that Melchizedek's leadership principles, such as justice, a love of service, and remaining faithful to God, are highly suitable for application in today's church. In conclusion, integrity is crucial in church leadership because it can build trust and create a healthy church community.

Abstract

This study examines the transformation of leader character as a key factor in achieving faith maturity within JKI The Rock. Grounded in 2 Timothy 2:2, the research explores how the chain discipleship (mentoring) model contributes to spiritual growth, leadership quality, and the continuity of the church’s mission. A qualitative methodology was employed, using an exegetical approach combined with an organizational case study. The findings reveal that faith maturity is not developed individually but through a continuous process of mentoring, where values, spiritual integrity, and leadership character are transmitted from proven leaders to future generations of faithful leaders. This process strengthens spiritual stability and prepares leaders who are capable of carrying out ministry responsibilities effectively. The study concludes that JKI The Rock needs a structured leadership development system that prioritizes both faithfulness and competence. Such a system is essential to ensure sustainable leadership regeneration and the long-term effectiveness of the church’s mission and ministry.

Abstract

Technological developments have brought significant changes to various aspects of human life, including church life. These changes also impact intergenerational relationships within the congregation. This paper aims to examine the challenges faced by church leaders at GEKISIA Depok in serving Generation X, Millennials, and Generation Z, and to examine the relevance of the theological principle of Romans 12:2 in addressing these challenges. Ultimately, the author observes that differences in generational characteristics influence communication patterns, ministry models, and congregational expectations of church leadership. Therefore, church leaders in the digital age are required to be adaptive, transformative, and remain rooted in biblical values. Romans 12:2 serves as an important theological foundation for Christian leaders to experience a renewed mindset so they can serve according to God's will without being influenced by worldly patterns. Furthermore, the challenge of cross-generational leadership is not merely practical in nature, but also theological. Each generation brings different experiences, values, and perspectives in understanding faith and spirituality. Generation X tends to value institutional stability and loyalty, while Millennials are more oriented toward authentic experience and community. Generation Z, having grown up entirely in the digital age, communicates and expresses faith in ways that differ greatly from previous generations. In this context, church leaders are called to become bridges between generations, rather than simply following trends or rigidly preserving tradition.
