<![CDATA[Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan (BPOM) dalam PERMENKES No 07 tahun 2012 melarang penambahan Bahan Kimia Obat (BKO) di dalam jamu. Namun, sibutramin HCl sering ditemukan dalam jamu diet dan pelangsing, obat ini mampu menekan nafsu makan sehingga dapat melangsingkan badan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kandungan sibutramin HCl di dalam jamu dengan metode Kromatografi Lapis Tipis (KLT) dan Spektrofotometri UV-Vis. Hasil pembacaan KLT dengan fase gerak etil : kloroform (3 : 7) dan silica gel GF254  memberikan hasil sampel C positif mengandung Sibutramin HCl dengan Rf 0,826. Validasi metode analisis yang dilakukan meliputi Linieritas, LOD dan LOQ, Akurasi serta Presisi. Linieritas menghasilkan persaman regresi y = 0,0648x + 0,0583 sehingga r = 0,9989, LOD dan LOQ hasil 0,6228 dan 1,8873 ppm, akurasi dan presisi menghasilkan %recovery dalam rentang 106,65% - 110,59% serta %RSD 1,473%, 5,196% dan 1,533%. Hasil uji kadar sampel jamu C menghasilkan rata-rata kadar (mg) sebesar 2,662 mg dan %kadar 1,331% per 200 mg. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah terdapat Sibutramin HCl di dalam jamu pelangsing sampel C dengan kadar 5,95 mg per kemasan. Kata Kunci: Jamu Pelangsing; Kromatografi Lapis Tipis; Sibutramin HCl; Spektrofotometri UV-Vis The Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM) in PERMENKES No. 07 of 2012 prohibits the addition of Chemical Drugs (BKO) in herbal medicine. However, Sibutramine HCl is often found in diet and slimming herbal medicine, this drug is able to suppress appetite so that it can slim the body. This study aims to identify the content of Sibutramine HCl in herbal medicine using the Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC) and UV-Vis Spectrophotometry methods. The results of TLC readings with a mobile phase of ethyl: chloroform (3: 7) and silica gel GF254 gave positive sample C results containing Sibutramine HCl with Rf 0.826. Validation of the analysis method carried out included Linearity, LOD and LOQ, Accuracy and Precision. Linearity produces a regression equation of y = 0.0648x + 0.0583 so that r = 0.9989, LOD and LOQ results of 0.6228 and 1.8873 ppm, accuracy and precision produce % recovery in the range of 106.65% - 110.59% and % RSD of 1.473%, 5.196% and 1.533%. The results of the test of the content of herbal medicine sample C produced an average content (mg) of 2.662 mg and a% content of 1.331% per 200 mg.
