Abstract

This study aims to analyze the concept of amanah (trustworthiness) in the perspective of the Qur’an and its exegesis, as well as its implementation in the service of Umrah pilgrims based on the internship experience of students of Qur’anic Studies and Tafsir. This research employs a qualitative descriptive-analytical approach, with data collected through participant observation and documentation study. The analysis is conducted using a thematic tafsir approach by linking empirical findings with scholarly interpretations. The results show that amanah is a fundamental value encompassing moral responsibility toward God and fellow human beings, and serves as an ethical foundation in service. Its implementation is reflected in information transparency, staff responsibility, and the fulfillment of pilgrims’ needs. However, several challenges remain, including lack of coordination, limited human resources, and work pressure. Therefore, optimization is needed through strengthening service systems and internalizing spiritual values.
