Abstract

This study aims to measure the efficiency of aid distribution in the Family Hope Program (PKH) across six sub-districts in Medan Denai using the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) method. DEA allows a relative efficiency evaluation of multiple decision-making units (DMUs) by comparing inputs such as budget, number of officers, and recipients, against outputs like targeted beneficiary rate, distribution timeliness, and satisfaction level. The findings reveal that three sub-districts—Medan Tenggara, Tegal Sari Mandala I, and Tegal Sari Mandala II—achieved full efficiency with a score of 1. In contrast, Binjai, Denai, and Tegal Sari Mandala III were found to be inefficient due to higher input consumption not matched by proportional output. The study suggests that inefficient sub-districts can improve their performance by adopting the practices of efficient ones. These insights are expected to assist local governments in optimizing social assistance programs and ensuring better resource utilization.

Abstract

This study aims to develop  a mini SCADA system  as a simpler and more affordable alternative solution for educational and research purposes, especially in the control of relays in distribution system modules. Design and implement  of a mini SCADA prototype are able to control the relay in real-time while evaluating the performance of the system in terms of response speed, control accuracy, and operational reliability. The research adopts both quantitative and qualitative approach with laboratory experiment methods at Malikussaleh University, utilizing Arduino Uno, PZEM-004T sensors, relay modules, and LabVIEW software integration for monitoring and controlling. The test results showed that the system successfully monitored electrical parameters (voltage, current, power, and frequency) with a good level of sensor accuracy (error ≤0.03%), and was able to activate automatic protection against under/over voltage and over current conditions  with a fast response according to the set limit. These findings confirm that mini SCADA is not only feasible as a means of practical learning, but also has the potential to be an early model for the implementation of small-scale distribution control such as microgrids. In addition, this study provides empirical evidence that simple hardware integration with open-source software can result in efficient and applicable control systems. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the efficiency level of the student admission process at SMAN 2 Seruway, Aceh Tamiang Regency, using the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) method. DEA was chosen because it is able to evaluate the relative efficiency of decision-making units that have many inputs and outputs without assuming the form of a production function. This method is considered more flexible than other methods such as MOORA, which are deterministic. The inputs used include parents' occupations, school of origin, and student majors, while the outputs are the Final School Exam (UAS) scores for science and social studies subjects. Data were analyzed for three Decision-Making Units (DMUs): 2022, 2023, and 2024. The results showed that 2022 was inefficient (efficiency 0.93), while 2023 and 2024 experienced high efficiency (1.14 and 1.06). Values above 1 indicate super-efficiency, indicating superior resource utilization. The final science exam score consistently dominated efficiency, while social studies scores showed no contribution. Similarly, from an input perspective, student majors were the most influential factor, while parental occupation and school of origin tended to be less influential. This study is limited by its three-year data period and its failure to consider non-academic variables. Practical implications of this research include the need to strengthen science subjects and map appropriate majors within student admissions strategies. Furthermore, DEA results can be used as a policy basis for allocating school resources more efficiently

Abstract

Central Aceh Regency possesses rich tourism potential, yet information about tourist destinations is often unstructured, making it difficult for travelers to choose locations that suit their preferences. This study aims to develop a tourism recommendation system based on Content-Based Filtering using TF-IDF and Cosine Similarity approaches. The system allows users to select up to five tourism-related attributes such as “culinary,” “picnic,” or “hiking” to receive destination recommendations with the highest similarity scores. The development process includes data collection from the Central Aceh Tourism Office, data preprocessing, term weighting using TF-IDF, and similarity calculation using cosine similarity. The implemented system successfully recommends three tourist destinations that best match user preferences. System testing using the black box method showed valid and expected results. The system achieved an accuracy rate of 85% during user testing, with a precision of 83% and recall of 81%, outperforming similar studies [14]. This study demonstrates that the Content-Based Filtering method is effective in delivering personalized and relevant tourism recommendations while supporting local tourism promotion efforts.
