Abstract

ABSTRACT Title: Effectiveness of Clean And Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) Education on Students’ Knowledge, Attitude,  and Practice. Background:  Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) is an important strategy to improve the health status of school-aged children and prevent environment-related diseases. This study aimed to analyze the effectiveness of PHBS education on students’ knowledge, attitudes, and practices. Method: A quasi-experimental study with a one-group pretest–posttest design was conducted among 76 elementary school students. Data were collected using structured questionnaires and observation sheets. Univariate analysis was used to describe the distribution of variables, while the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test was applied for bivariate analysis. Result: The results showed an increase in the mean scores of knowledge (28.34 to 31.14), attitudes (29.34 to 31.21), and practices (6.75 to 7.55). Statistical analysis indicated significant differences before and after the intervention (p < 0.05). These findings demonstrate that PHBS education significantly improves students’ knowledge, attitudes, and healthy practices continuous school-based health education is recommended to sustain behavioral improvements.
