<![CDATA[Background of the study: Career planning is an important step for students preparing to enter the workforce, especially those enrolled in the Islamic Library and Information Science (IPII) Study Program. Although the curriculum provides students with competencies relevant to library and information science, not all students intend to build a career in accordance with their field of study. One factor that influences the formation of this intention is career self-efficacy. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to determine students’ levels of career self-efficacy and career aspirations, as well as to investigate the relationship between career self-efficacy and career intentions in the IPII profession. Method: The study employs a quantitative method with an associative research design. The sample comprised 80 IPII students from the 2023 and 2024 cohorts, chosen using stratified random sampling. Data were gathered using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics and basic linear regression analysis. Findings: The findings indicate that students’ career self-efficacy falls within the high category, while their career intentions are categorized as moderately high. The regression results show that career self-efficacy has a positive and significant impact on students’ career intentions in the IPII domain. Conclusion: Career self-efficacy plays a vital role in shaping students’ career intentions. Higher levels of self-efficacy are associated with stronger intentions to pursue a career aligned with their field of study. Keywords: Self-efficacy, Career Intentions, Students Latar Belakang: Perencanaan karier merupakan komponen penting dalam persiapan mahasiswa untuk memasuki dunia kerja, termasuk bagi mereka yang terdaftar dalam Program Ilmu Perpustakaan dan Informasi Islam (IPII). Meskipun kurikulum membekali mahasiswa dengan kompetensi yang relevan dalam bidang perpustakaan dan informasi, tidak semua mahasiswa berencana untuk mengejar karier yang sejalan dengan bidang studi mereka. Salah satu faktor kunci yang mempengaruhi pembentukan niat tersebut adalah kepercayaan diri dalam karier. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat kepercayaan diri karier dan niat karier di kalangan mahasiswa, serta menganalisis pengaruh kepercayaan diri karier terhadap niat karier di bidang IPII. Metode Penelitian ini melibatkan 80 mahasiswa IPII dari tahun akademik 2023-2024 dan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain asosiatif. Dimulai dengan sampling acak berstrata, kuesioner skala Likert digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data, yang kemudian dievaluasi menggunakan regresi linier sederhana dan statistik deskriptif. Temuan: Hasil menunjukkan bahwa kepercayaan diri karier mahasiswa dikategorikan sebagai tinggi, sementara niat karier mereka masuk dalam kategori sedang-tinggi. Analisis regresi mengungkapkan bahwa kepercayaan diri karier memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap niat karier mahasiswa di bidang IPII. Kesimpulan: Kepercayaan diri karier memainkan peran krusial dalam membentuk niat karier mahasiswa.
