This study aims to examine the impact of Islamic financial literacy and self-control on consumptive behavior trends among students of the University of Muhammadiyah North Sumatra (UMSU). By applying a quantitative method, data processing from the respondents was carried out based on Structural Equation Modeling - Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) using SmartPLS 4 software. The findings of this research reveal that neither sharia financial understanding nor the ability to control oneself apparently have a real impact on students' spending habits. Furthermore, the acquisition of the determination coefficient (R-square) at 8.9% confirms that the consumptive lifestyle is dominantly driven by various variables outside the model, such as social media exposure, the influence of the circle of friends, and the practicality of e-commerce transactions.
