Abstract

This study aims to examine the costs, revenue, and income associated with the cultivation of the local Siam Arjuna rice variety, as well as to study the characteristics of this local rice variety. The research method used was purposive sampling, with 25 farmers selected as the sample. The results of this study showed an average yield of 5,328 kg per farmer, or 4.2 tons per hectare. Average revenue was Rp40,488,000 per farmer, while average income was Rp39,514,877 per farmer.. The characteristics of the local Siam Arjuna rice variety cultivated in Nusa Indah Village are essentially no different from those of the variety in general, with a potential yield of 4.2 tons per hectare. This indicates that the local Siam Arjuna rice variety is highly adaptable and can be successfully cultivated in Nusa Indah Village

Abstract

The issue of waste has generally become a classic problem that is dificul to solve. The rise in public consumption to satisfy their living needs is a contributing factor to the waste issue. Household organic waste is one of the contributing causes to the waste problem that be transported to the final disposalsite (TPA). Organic waste, due to its easily rotting nature, can produce an unpleasant odor and also attract many flies which cause disease. Sungai Bakar villiges in bajuin district, Tanah Laut Regency, South Kalimantan Province,and is the gateway to the Bajuin waterfall tourist attraction. The distance of Sungai Bakar village is 10 km from pelaihari city and 75 km from Banjarmasin city. Becaause most of the people of Sungai Bakar village are farmers and work in Agriculture, it is deemed necessary to provide information on the manufacture of liquid organic fertilizer (POC). Liquid organic fertilizer is made by utilizing household organic waste as an alternative to reducing waste problems. The purpose of this community service is to increase the knowledge, insight and independence of the community in managing organic waste. This community service activity was carried out in Sungai Bakar village, Bajuin district, Tanah Laut regency, held on May 19 - 20, 2025. This community service activity was attended by the community service team from the Agribusiness study program and the Aquaculture study program, Sungai Bakar village officials, and the local village community. The approach method used is the lecture method, demonstration , discussiob and question and answer. The stages of activities and evaluation. Some solutions that can be applied to reduce pollution due to household organic waste in Sungai Bakar village are : 1. Socialization or counseling about the economic value of waste 2. Sorting and separating waste based on its category, namely organic waste and an organic waste. 3. Making liquid organic fertilizer from household organic waste. Community service activities regarding the management of household organic waste into liquid organic fertilizer in Sungai Bakar village have a positive impact on the community so that they can increase community knowledge,insight and independence

Abstract

Red ginger is a pant that is benefits and has high economic value. Red ginger is very beneficial for health and is usually used as raw material for the traditional medicine industry, and can also be processed into drinks or as a cooking spice. Now yuo can find many processed instant red ginger products that are ready to be brewed. The technology for cultivating red ginger in Padang luas village is one of the efforts to empower the farming community to have knowledge,skills and insight other than cultivating lowland rice and is expected to increasefarmers income. Red ginger is very popular and continues to experience increasing demand,however this demand cannot be fully met, so the price tends to be expensive. From this activity, it is hoped that farmers can apply the knowledge they have can omprove farmer welfare. This coommunity service activity uses a persuasive approach with direct interview techniques to identify problems. The activity stage includes location survey,activity implementation, and evaluation.The service activity was carried out on 15 to 16 Mei 2024, at one of the farmer group members homes and was attended by approximately 20 farmer group members and women around the location. The Result of the community service activities to empower the farmer group “Tani Bersama” through Red ginger cultivation technology in polybags have had a positive impact on the farmer group, namely by increasing knowledge, skills and insight regarding Red ginger cultivation technology. In general, farmer groups are very responsive and welcome the comunity service activities provided

Abstract

This community service activity uses a persuasive approach to identify problems. Find out what the comunity needs and expects in P2M activities for studens at the Faculty of Agriculture Achmad Yani University Banjarmasin. Activity stages include location survey, activity impementation and evaluation. Comunity service activity will be held on 20 -23 September 2024, at the office hall of The Sungai Besar villige sub district, Karang Intan Sub district. The Results of community service activities namely providing information on the benafids of gardens with Dayak Onions plants, have had a positive impact on the comunity, namely by increasing people’s knowledge and insight about cultivation and benefits of Dayak Onions as aTraditional medicine that can help cure various diseases. The People of Sungai Besar Village welcomed and really appreciated all P2M activities
