Abstract

This study explores using arithmetic operation games in mathematics learning to improve the literacy and numeracy of grade 3 elementary school students. This study uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews, observations, and analysis of LKPD used in the learning process. The study results indicate that arithmetic operation games can increase student motivation and involvement in mathematics learning. Students find standing basic arithmetic operation concepts such as addition and subtraction through fun and interactive activities. In addition, this game also helps students develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. However, using this game requires proper time management, and teacher skills in facilitating learning activities by learning objectives.

Abstract

This research was conducted with the aim of developing and examining the effectiveness of Media Dakota (Dakon Mathematics) in improving the numeracy skills of fifth grade elementary school students to better understand material about KPK (Least Common Multiple) and FPB (Greatest Common Factor) in the independent curriculum. This research uses a development research methodology related to the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The research subjects were 28 fifth grade students at SDN Slawu 01 Jember. Data was collected through tests, observations, interviews and analyzed descriptively. The results of this research show that the use of Dakota Media (Dakon Mathematics) significantly increases students' understanding of KPK and FPB material. In the development stage, the media is refined to meet students' needs to be more interactive and effective. After implementation, 85% of students were able to achieve results above the Minimum Integrity Standards (KKM). In addition, the use of Media Dakota (Dakon Mathematics) increases student motivation and involvement in mathematics lessons. Media Dakota supports the implementation of an independent curriculum through experiential learning and developing students' critical and creative thinking skills.

Abstract

This study aims to develop snakes and ladders media in grade IV math subjects at SDN SUKOWONO 04. The method used in this research is Research & Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model, namely analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. Learning math using snakes and ladders media aims to inspire students to continue learning by inviting them to actively participate in learning.  To maintain the effectiveness of learning, teachers can use learning media in Teaching and Learning Activities (KBM). The utilization of learning media can increase students' learning motivation, activate student responses, and improve students' problem-solving skills. Snakes and ladders learning media refers to media that mimics the snakes and ladders game. However, some plots contain questions that must be passed by the player, and answer the question if the player is right on the plot containing the question. This game will be very fun and interest students if applied in the learning process in the classroom.
