Abstract

Instilling values ​​provides values, traits, and knowledge that become a reference for behaviour in everyday life. The values ​​of Islamic education are the values ​​contained in the Islamic religion's teachings, including aqidah and morals. This research aims to discover the processes, strategies and methods for instilling Islamic educational values ​​in foster children at the Muhammadiyah orphanage in Semarang City and the implications. The method used is qualitative with a field study type. Data collection was obtained by conducting observations, interviews and documentation with informants. The population in this study were all residents of the orphanage and the sample was 30 people. The data analysis uses content analysis. This research shows that instilling Islamic educational values ​​in foster children at the Muhammadiyah orphanage in Semarang City starts with the process, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The strategies implemented are routine and regular education, learning Islamic values, good time management, commitment and sincerity of caregivers and a pressure-free environment. The implications for instilling Islamic educational values ​​in Muhammadiyah orphanages include the values ​​of aqidah, worship and morals. This instilling of Islamic values ​​is carried out and implemented in daily behaviour, providing an excellent example after being given by caregivers to their foster children.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of work discipline and job performance on employee job satisfaction with appreciation as a mediating variable at PT Cipta Karya Kendal, Central Java. Disciplinary work and work performance are the main factors that influence the level of employee job satisfaction in an organization. However, the reward factor provided by the company also plays an important role as a mediator in the relationship. This research uses quantitative methods with a survey approach. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to employees. Data analysis was carried out using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) techniques to test the relationship between the variables studied. The results showed that work discipline has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction. Job performance also has a positive influence on employee job satisfaction. In addition, rewards proved to be a mediating variable that strengthens the relationship between work discipline and job satisfaction, as well as between job performance and job satisfaction. With appropriate rewards, employees tend to be more motivated and feel valued, which ultimately increases their job satisfaction.

Abstract

The elderly and widows constitute a demographic group susceptible to social, psychosocial, and economic vulnerabilities arising from physical changes, the loss of a spouse, limited resources, and reduced opportunities for social interaction. This Community Service (PkM) initiative aims to strengthen the social roles of the elderly and widows through community-based support in Mekar Sari Hamlet, Gunungpati District. The activity involved 45 participants, comprising both elderly individuals and widows. The implementation employed a participatory approach involving needs assessment, social and psychosocial education, focus group discussions, individual and group mentoring, and the strengthening of social networks in collaboration with community leaders and local volunteers. The results demonstrated a positive response from participants, active engagement in educational sessions and discussions, an improved understanding of the importance of social roles, and the development of self-confidence and mutual support among participants. Activity documentation captures the educational processes, group interactions, and participant mentoring. To enhance program evaluation, this revised article also includes a draft instrument for measuring participant satisfaction. However, fictitious satisfaction statistics have not been included, as the summarized questionnaire data were not available in the original source materials.
