Abstract

Hypertension or high blood pressure, this disease can attack anyone, both young and old. Hypertension (high blood pressure) is a medical condition characterized by systolic pressure greater than 140 mmHg and diastolic pressure greater than 90 mmHg. Efforts to prevent blood pressure problems are not only through medication, but also through complementary medicine to treat high blood pressure. Lemongrass foot hydrotherapy is a natural treatment that improves blood circulation by widening the blood vessels and improving blood circulation, which then stimulates the nerves in the feet, stimulating the activation of the sympathetic nerves and improving blood circulation. Quasi Experimental Method with pre test and post test with control group design. In two groups intervention and control (without treatment). Done for 3 days. The sample was 20 respondents. The results of bivariate analysis with 2 tests, namely the Wilcoxon test, showed a p value = 0.005 (p value 0.05), and the Man Whitney test showed a p value = 0.001 (p value 0.05). Therefore, it can be concluded that foot hydrotherapy with lemongrass is useful in lowering blood pressure in elderly people suffering from high blood pressure at the Community Health Center in the Tuntungan District. Pancur Batu, so that health center health workers can use complementary medicine as an alternative to lowering blood pressure for people with high blood pressure because it is easy and cheap from an economic perspective.

Abstract

Ankle ROM training is a movement that includes 2 movements, namely dorsiflexion and plantarflexion which result in increased calf muscle strength and increased calf muscle pump thereby facilitating venous return which has a positive impact in facilitating the diffusion of oxygen and nutrients. By providing Active Lower ROM intervention to Diabetes Mellitus patients twice a day for 6 consecutive days at the same time. Statistically, it can be seen that there was an influence on the ABI and DNE values before the intervention was given and after the Active Lower ROM intervention was given. This type of research uses quasi-experimental research using two group pretest-posttest, namely an experimental design where there are control and intervention groups. The samples in this study were 35, of which 17 samples were for the intervention group and 18 samples were for the control group. Based on the results of the research, data obtained from the analysis of the effect of giving ankle ROM exercises on the DNE score and ABI value in the intervention group and the control group were, in the DNE score, the statistical test result was p = 0.000, and it can be believed that there is a significant difference between the DNE score of the intervention group. And the control group after doing ankle ROM exercises (p = 0.000 α = 0.05), then H0 was rejected or there was an effect of ROM exercises on reducing the risk of neuropathy. Meanwhile, the ABI value showed a statistical test result of p = 0.002 and it can be believed that there is significant difference between the ABI values of the intervention group and the control group after ankle ROM exercises (p = 0.002 α = 0.05), so H0 is rejected or there is an effect of ROM exercises on reducing the risk of Angiopathy.

Abstract

Atopic dermatitis, also known as eczema, is a chronic inflammatory condition of the skin that often results in red, itchy, and inflamed patches on the skin. These patches can become open sores or sores that require proper care and treatment. Cleaning to speed healing and prevent infection. This type of research is Quasi-experimental research using a Pre-Experiment Design with a One group Pre test – Post test design. The results showed that of the 60 students who had a good level of knowledge at the pre-test, there were 7 people (11.7%), the level of knowledge was sufficient for the students at the pre-test, there were 24 people (40%) and the level of knowledge was poor for the students. during the pre-test there were 29 people (48.3%). The research results showed that of the 60 students who had a good level of knowledge at the post-test, 12 people (20%), had a sufficient level of knowledge at the post-test, 48 people (80%). The statistical test results showed that p-value = 0.000, p-value <0.05, meaning that there was a significant increase in knowledge scores between before and after providing education.

Abstract

Compliance is the extent to which a nurse's behavior is in accordance with the provisions that have been given by the nurse leadership or the hospital. The level of compliance of nurses is not only measured by their knowledge and attitude towards the procedure, but is based on the assessment and supervision of the procedure actions. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship of knowledge and attitudes nurses' compliance in the implementation of decubitus wound care at Martha Friska Multatuli Hospital in Medan in 2024. This study uses a correlation descriptive design with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were all nurses at Martha Friska Multatuli Hospital Medan with a sample of 53 people. Sampling uses purposive sampling. The research data was obtained by the primary data collection method using questionnaires and secondary data from hospitals. The statistical test used is chi square (α = 0.05). The results of the research at the level of knowledge were obtained that most of the respondents had a good level of knowledge as much as 37 (69.8%), a sufficient level of knowledge of 7 (13.2%). Based on the chi square statistical test, p-value = 0.001 < α (0.05), it was found that there was a significant relationship between knowledge and nurse compliance in carrying out decubitus wound care. In the attitude of nurses, positive attitudes were obtained as many as 38 (71.7%), negative attitudes as many as 2 (3.8%) Based on the statistical test of chi square obtained p-value = 0.000 < α (0.05), it was found that there was a significant relationship between attitude and nurse compliance in carrying out decubitus wound care. The conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship between knowledge and attitudes towards nurses' compliance with the implementation of decubitus wound care at Martha Friska Mulatuli Hospital Medan in 2024. It is hoped that the hospital will provide special training on wound care to improve nursing knowledge and attitudes.
