Abstract

This Community Service Program (PKM) aimed to improve human resource productivity in the extrabed rental business of Idris Linen located in Cangkara Hamlet, Sukajadi Village, Carita District, Pandeglang Regency. The activity was conducted in September 2025 using a participatory approach involving business owners and employees in all stages of implementation. The program consisted of planning, implementation, and evaluation stages through observation, in-depth interviews, focus group discussions (FGD), socialization, and mentoring activities. The results revealed that employee productivity was highly influenced by seasonal tourism fluctuations in the Carita coastal area. Several major obstacles were identified, including limited employee competencies, low work motivation, the absence of a structured performance evaluation system, and inadequate operational facilities. The participatory approach successfully encouraged active involvement from participants in identifying problems and formulating improvement strategies. As an outcome of the program, several recommendations were developed, including the preparation of standard operating procedures (SOPs), implementation of performance-based incentives, periodic training programs, routine performance evaluations, and the adoption of digital recording systems. These strategies are expected to enhance employee productivity, improve service quality, strengthen business competitiveness, and contribute to the sustainable development of microeconomic activities in the tourism-supporting sector. The program demonstrates that strengthening human resource management is a crucial factor in improving the sustainability and growth of micro-enterprises in tourism areas.
