Abstract

Informed consent is an agreement by the patient to receive the treatment of or after the procedure provides more information, including the benefits and risks of treatment, alternative treatment, and prognosis. Based on the experiences during the service-man research at the Regional General Hospital (Hospital) Dr. M. Yunus Bengkulu nurse practitioner nursing action, just tell the nurse will be nursing actions and explain the aims of action, then ask for approval. So most patients and families do not know the side effects of actions, alternatives, risks and prognosis Tinda her. The study design was cross-sectional. Study sample were all nurses in the inpatient implementers: Jasmine, Chrysanthemum, and Lotus Hospital Flamboyan M Yunus Bengkulu in 2011, totaling 95 people. Univariate analysis was done with the frequency distribution, the bivariate chi-square test, and multivariate logistic regression models of multiple confounding. The results showed that almost all (76.8%) gave informed concent is not complete. Only leadership style variable-gammer mempu significant association with the implementation of informed consent (p = 0.02). Only the age variable to be confounding variables. Expected to carry out the briefing room head every morning with the nurse practitioner, the more stressed implementation of informed consent on each will implement nursing actions.

Abstract

The ability of the lungs to expand, which mean’s a person’s ability to use respiratory muscles to expand the chest depend on smoking activity and daily activity. The purpose of this research is to know the relationship between smoking with vital lungs capacity of the worker in Baai Island Harbour at 2009. This research using cross sectional design. The independent variable; smoking habits, nutritional status, age and history lungs disease and vital lungs capacity as dependent variable. Sample as 50 people. Data were analyzd by univariat frequency distributions, with bivariate chi-square test. The result of this research there’s a relationship between smoking with vital lungs capacity of the worker in Baai Island Harbour 2009, after controlling disease history (ρ value 0,11, PR 9,20, 95% CI 1,67-50,65. More efforts should be intensified promotion and prevention to stop smoking in public, especially in the productive age group by explaining the effects that can be caused by smoking, both for the smoker himself and for others around them.

Abstract

The purpose of this study to determine the relationship between physical activityand the incidence of central obesity and heart disease clinic patients in Hospital Dr. M. YunusBengkulu 2014. This research is a cross-sectional method and sampling conducted byaccidental sampling technique. Independent variables (physical activity) and the dependentvariable (central obesity). Total population of 5,021 people with a total study sample was 96people. Results showed that there is a relationship between physical activity and the incidenceof central obesity (p = 0.000). It is expected that the clinic nurse to be able to improve thequality of health services, especially in patients who are at risk of central obesity andpreventive improvement can be done by preventing the increase in central obesity bychanging one's lifestyle by increasing activity on a regular basis.
