Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi rendahnya pemahaman materi fotosintesis pada siswa kelas IV SD di Kota Depok, yang dipengaruhi oleh kurangnya pemahaman konsep serta media pembelajaran yang kurang menarik. Penelitian bertujuan mengembangkan media pembelajaran infografis 3D pada mata pelajaran IPAS untuk meningkatkan pemahaman fotosintesis. Metode yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model Borg and Gall yang dikembangkan oleh Sugiyono. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan infografis 3D efektif meningkatkan pemahaman, terlihat dari kenaikan nilai rata-rata pre-test dan post-test. Pada uji coba produk 1 di SDN Pondok Terong 4, KKTP 75 dengan rata-rata kelas 60. Validasi menunjukkan penilaian ahli media 47%, ahli materi 64%, angket guru 60%, dan siswa 81,25%. Setelah revisi, produk 2 memperoleh penilaian lebih tinggi: ahli media 89%, ahli materi 82%, guru 93,3%, dan siswa 95%. Uji-t menghasilkan 14,15 dengan peningkatan nilai 60 menjadi 81 (33,16%). Media dinilai layak diterapkan dan dikembangkan di tiga sekolah.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop a learning media in the form of a diorama specifically designed to improve third grade elementary school students’ understanding of ecosystem material in the Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) subject. The research approach used Research and Development (R&D) based on the Borg and Gall stages—beginning with needs analysis, planning, product development, trial implementation, followed by revisions and final evaluation.Statistical test results showed that the calculated t-value was 0.0961, whereas the critical t-table value was 0.0948, indicating tₕᵢₜᵤₙg > tₐbₑl (critical). This implies a significant difference in students' understanding before and after using the diorama learning media—in other words, the media is effective in enhancing students’ comprehension of ecosystem material. Moreover, qualitative analysis through teacher observations and student feedback showed that the diorama media increased student motivation, interest, and active participation in learning. The media was also considered engaging and easy to understand by third grade students.The study concludes that the development of acrylic diorama learning media is highly relevant, effective, and dynamic, and is recommended for broad application in teaching ecosystem topics at the elementary school level.
