<![CDATA[This article discusses the study of biblical ethics of gambling practices and modern consumerism. Biblical ethics is an academic discipline that integrates exegesis, historical context, and philosophical-theological reflection to address contemporary moral challenges. In this study, exegesis is integrated with contemporary contexts to examine the phenomenon of gambling and consumerism in the light of biblical ethics. Using a biblical ethical approach to wisdom texts such as Proverbs and Psalms, the Gospels, and some of Paul's letters, this article seeks to trace the spiritual roots of believers' economic behavior. The method used is qualitative-descriptive with literature review and theological analysis of biblical texts and moral theology. The results of the study show that both gambling and consumerism are not just moral and social problems, but also anthropological symptoms of the human heart that misplace the source of meaning and security in daily life. Biblical ethics affirms that human dignity lies in its existence as imago Dei. Thus, Christian repentance means changing the orientation of life from the worship of mammon to the true worship of God in Christ. The ethical implication is that it leads people to work to accumulate money and wealth in a positive way, and, as stewards of God's creation, Christians are called to use these resources wisely, responsibly, and for the common good. AbstrakArtikel ini membahas kajian etika biblis terhadap praktik judi dan konsumerisme modern. Etika biblis merupakan disiplin akademik yang mengintegrasikan eksegesis, konteks historis, dan refleksi filosofis-teologis untuk menjawab tantangan moral kontemporer. Dalam penelitian ini, eksegesis diintegrasikan dengan konteks kontemporer untuk menelaah fenomena judi dan konsumerisme dalam terang etika biblis. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan etika biblis terhadap teks hikmat seperti Amsal dan Mazmur, Injil, maupun beberapa surat Paulus, artikel ini hendak menelusuri akar spiritual dari perilaku ekonomi manusia beriman. Metode yang digunakan bersifat kualitatif-deskriptif dengan kajian pustaka dan analisis teologis terhadap teks Alkitab serta teologi moral. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa baik judi maupun konsumerisme bukan sekadar persoalan moral dan sosial, tetapi juga merupakan gejala antropologis dari hati manusia yang salah menempatkan sumber makna dan keamanan dalam hidup sehari-hari. Etika biblis menegaskan bahwa martabat manusia terletak pada keberadaannya sebagai imago Dei. Dengan demikian, pertobatan kristiani berarti mengubah orientasi hidup dari penyembahan kepada mamon menuju penyembahan sejati kepada Allah di dalam Kristus. Implikasi etisnya adalah menuntun manusia bekerja guna mengumpulkan uang maupun harta dengan cara yang positif, dan sebagai pengelola ciptaan Allah, umat Kristen dipanggil untuk menggunakan sumber daya tersebut secara bijaksana, penuh tanggung jawab, dan demi kesejahteraan bersama.]]>
