Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan distribusi Linux ringan berbasis Xubuntu yang terintegrasi aplikasi Teknik Komputer dan Jaringan (TKJ) sebagai media pendukung praktikum pada Program Studi Pendidikan Teknologi Informasi UIN Ar-Raniry. Metode penelitian menggunakan Research and Development (R&D) dengan tahapan analisis kebutuhan, perancangan, pengembangan, pengujian, dan evaluasi produk. Pengembangan dilakukan melalui proses remastering sistem operasi, penghapusan aplikasi bawaan yang tidak diperlukan, optimasi layanan agar lebih ringan, serta integrasi aplikasi pendukung TKJ sehingga sistem lebih siap digunakan. Uji kelayakan dilakukan melalui validasi ahli media dan uji coba pengguna menggunakan angket skala Likert. Hasil validasi menunjukkan nilai 92,5% dari ahli media dan 86,25% dari pengguna, sehingga produk termasuk kategori sangat layak. Selain itu, dilakukan pengujian performa dengan membandingkan sistem hasil remastering dan Xubuntu original berdasarkan penggunaan RAM, penggunaan CPU, serta waktu booting. Hasil perbandingan menunjukkan distribusi yang dikembangkan lebih efisien dalam penggunaan sumber daya, stabil, dan dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai media pendukung kegiatan praktikum jaringan komputer. Kata Kunci : Distribusi Linux Ringan, Xubuntu, Remastering, Aplikasi TKJ, Uji Kelayakan, Perbandingan Performa This research aims to develop a lightweight Linux distribution based on Xubuntu that integrates Computer and Network Engineering (TKJ) applications as a supporting medium for practicums in the Information Technology Education Study Program at UIN Ar-Raniry. The research method uses Research and Development (R&D) with stages of needs analysis, design, development, testing, and product evaluation. Development is carried out through the process of remastering the operating system, removing unnecessary built-in applications, optimizing services to be lighter, and integrating TKJ supporting applications so that the system is more ready to use. Feasibility testing is carried out through media expert validation and user trials using a Likert scale questionnaire. The validation results show a value of 92.5% from media experts and 86.25% from users, so the product is included in the very feasible category. In addition, performance testing is carried out by comparing the remastered system and the original Xubuntu based on RAM usage, CPU usage, and boot time. The comparison results show that the developed distribution is more efficient in resource usage, stable, and can be used as a supporting medium for computer network practicum activities.
