Abstract

Waste management in Indonesia continues to face significant challenges, largely due to manual record-keeping practices that often lead to data duplication, reporting delays, and a lack of transparency. This study develops EcoHub, an integrated digital dashboard designed to monitor waste deposit flows, point conversion, and product transactions to support a circular economy ecosystem. The research addresses a gap in the limited availability of waste bank systems that integrate deposit management, e-wallet functionality, and e-commerce within a unified platform. By adopting the Agile Scrum approach, the system is designed to adapt to user needs through short development iterations and continuous evaluation. The testing results indicate that all system functionalities operate effectively, with a user acceptance rate (UAT) of 89.17%, categorized as Very Good. The novelty of this study lies in the direct integration between waste deposits and real economic exchange mechanisms, which has been shown to significantly enhance operational efficiency for various stakeholders while improving transparency in waste bank management.

Abstract

This study aims to design UI/UX recommendations for a Barbershop reservation application using the design thinking method and assess its usability using the System Usability Scale (SUS). The research method includes five stages of Design thinking: empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. Data were collected through customer observation and interviews, as well as literature studies related to UI/UX. Prototype testing was conducted using Maze and the SUS questionnaire via Google Form to evaluate the design's effectiveness and efficiency. The study produced a complete design consisting of a task flow, sitemap, low-fidelity wireframe, high-fidelity prototype, and an admin dasboard that includes reservation management features and real-time barber status settings. The research focuses on adapting design thinking to the operational context of Sky Barbershop, adding a "manage staff" feature to address workload imbalances, and integrating the booking flow that includes barber selection, scheduling, payment, and e-receipt. Maze testing results showed a 100% success rate for both the sign-up/sign-in and booking processes, and a misclick rate was found, indicating the need to optimize the visual hierarchy and UI elements. The SUS results showed an average customer score of 81 and an employee score of 72.5, with a combined score of 77, which falls into the "Good," "Acceptable," and Grade B categories according to SUS standards. This score indicates that the design meets basic usability requirements, but still requires improvements in navigation consistency and clarity of interactive components. The analysis indicates that the UI/UX design has the potential to improve service management efficiency, reduce physical queues, and enhance customer satisfaction through a more structured reservation flow. These design recommendations can serve as a basis for implementing the digital reservation system at Sky Barbershop and for further research.Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang rekomendasi desain UI/UX aplikasi reservasi pangkas rambut menggunakan metode design thinking, serta menilai tingkat kegunaannya melalui System Usability Scale (SUS). Metode penelitian mencakup lima tahapan Design thinking; empathize, define, ideate, prototype, dan testing. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dan wawancara pelanggan, studi literatur terkait UI/UX. Pengujian prototipe dilakukan menggunakan Maze dan kuesioner SUS melalui Google Form untuk memperoleh evaluasi mengenai efektivitas dan efisiensi rancangan. Penelitian menghasilkan rancangan lengkap terdiri atas task flow, sitemap, wireframe low-fidelity, prototipe high-fidelity, serta dasboard admin yang memuat fitur manajemen reservasi dan pengaturan status capster secara real-time. Fokus penelitian terletak pada penyesuaian design thinking terhadap konteks operasional Sky Barbershop, penambahan fitur “manage staff” untuk mengatasi ketidakseimbangan beban kerja, serta integrasi alur pemesanan yang mencakup pemilihan capster, jadwal, pembayaran, hingga e-receipt. Hasil testing Maze menunjukkan tingkat keberhasilan sebesar 100% untuk proses sign up/sign in maupun booking dan ditemukan misclick rate yang mengindikasikan perlunya optimalisasi pada hierarki visual dan elemen UI. Hasil SUS menunjukkan skor rata-rata pelanggan sebesar 81 dan karyawan sebesar 72,5, dengan skor gabungan 77 yang berada pada kategori “Good”, “Acceptable”, dan Grade B menurut standar SUS. Nilai ini menunjukkan bahwa rancangan telah memenuhi aspek kegunaan dasar, namun masih memerlukan penyempurnaan pada konsistensi navigasi serta kejelasan komponen interaktif. Analisis menunjukkan bahwa rancangan UI/UX berpotensi meningkatkan efisiensi pengelolaan layanan, mengurangi antrean fisik, serta meningkatkan kepuasan pelanggan melalui alur reservasi yang lebih terstruktur. Rekomendasi desain ini dapat dijadikan dasar untuk tahap implementasi sistem reservasi digital pada Sky Barbershop maupun pengembangan penelitian selanjutnya
