Abstract

Background: Adolescence is a transitional period marked by significant physical, psychological, and social changes, making adolescents vulnerable to problems related to eating patterns and body image. Irregular and unbalanced eating patterns in adolescent girls are often influenced by dissatisfaction with body shape or negative body image. This condition has the potential to cause various short-term and long-term health problems. Purpose: To determine the relationship between body image and eating patterns in adolescent girls. Method: This study used a quantitative correlation research method with a cross-sectional approach. The research sample consisted of all 36 female students in grade X at SMK Muhammadiyah Gamping, who were selected using total sampling technique. Data analysis was performed using univariate analysis to describe the characteristics of the respondents and each research variable, as well as bivariate analysis using Spearman's Rho test to determine the relationship between body image and dietary patterns. Results: The majority of adolescent girls had a moderate body image (44.4%). Furthermore, the majority of respondents' dietary patterns were in the adequate category (50%). The analysis showed a relationship between body image and eating patterns in adolescent girls, with a p-value of 0.002 (<0.005). Conclusion: This study demonstrates a relationship between body image and eating patterns in adolescent girls.   Keywords: Body Image; Eating Patterns; Teenage Girls.   Pendahuluan: Masa remaja merupakan periode transisi yang ditandai dengan perubahan fisik, psikologis, dan sosial yang signifikan, sehingga remaja rentan mengalami permasalahan terkait pola makan dan persepsi terhadap tubuh. Pola makan yang tidak teratur dan tidak seimbang pada remaja putri sering kali dipengaruhi oleh ketidakpuasan terhadap bentuk tubuh atau body image negatif. Kondisi ini berpotensi menimbulkan berbagai masalah kesehatan baik jangka pendek maupun jangka panjang. Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui hubungan antara body image dengan pola makan pada remaja putri. Metode: Metode penelitian kuantitatif korelasi dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Sampel penelitian adalah seluruh siswi kelas X di SMK Muhammadiyah Gamping sebanyak 36 responden yang dipilih menggunakan teknik total sampling. Analisis data dilakukan secara univariat untuk menggambarkan karakteristik responden dan masing-masing variabel penelitian, serta analisis bivariat menggunakan uji Spearman’s Rho untuk mengetahui hubungan antara body image dan pola makan. Hasil: Sebagian besar remaja putri memiliki body image pada kategori sedang, yaitu sebesar 44.4%. Selain itu, pola makan responden sebagian besar berada pada kategori cukup dengan persentase sebesar 50%. Hasil analisis menunjukan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara body image dengan pola makan pada remaja putri dengan nilai p-value 0.002 (<0.005). Simpulan: Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara body image dengan pola makan pada remaja putri.   Kata Kunci: Body Image; Pola Makan; Remaja Putri.

Abstract

Introduction: Hypertension is a condition of a person experiencing an increase in blood pressure above normal and is still a dangerous health problem in the elderly because if it is not controlled it will develop and cause dangerous complications. Hypertension can be caused by several factors such as age, stress, obesity, smoking, drinking alcoholic beverages, kidney disorders and so on. Methods: This study uses quantitative methods with a correlational study design and a cross-sectional approach. The sample of this study amounted to 34 elderly people in Beji village, Sidoarum Sleman district. The sampling technique in this study was total sampling technique. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and blood pressure checks. The analysis technique used the chi-square test. Results: In the Univariate analysis, it was found that the level of knowledge of lifestyle was not good in the elderly as many as 7 respondents (20.6%) with the incidence of hypertension as many as 17 respondents (50.0%). The results of the chi-square test obtained P value <0.05 (0.034) which means that there is a relationship between the level of knowledge about lifestyle and the incidence of hypertension in the elderly in beji village, sidoarum district, sleman regency. Conclusion: It is very important to improve communication, consultation, and counseling about hypertension and how to prevent it through a healthy lifestyle in the elderly on a regular and sustainable basis. The elderly are expected to take action to prevent hypertension by gaining better knowledge about this problem through the media and by participating in health counseling activities held by the health department, especially the sidoarum health center.

Abstract

Family nursing is a comprehensive service where the family is the main focus of care which includes the assessment, diagnosis, intervention, implementation and evaluation stages to improve health welfare in the family. One of the problems in family nursing is family coping inability. Family coping inability is the behavior of the closest person, namely family members or significant others, which limits the ability of themselves and clients to adapt to the health problems faced by clients. Weak family coping when facing problems will cause psychological disorders such as anxiety which can interfere with daily activities. Anxiety is one of the most influential psychological disorders and is the 25 leading cause of the world's disease burden in 2019. Anxiety disorders occurred in approximately 301 million people in 2019. Anxiety in Indonesia itself continues to increase every year. According to the records of the Indonesian Psychiatric Association (PDSKJI), 68.8% of Indonesian people experience anxiety disorders and will increase to 75.8% in 2022. This study was conducted to determine the effectiveness of the 5-finger hypnotic distraction technique. The research was conducted on Mr. S's family. Data were collected using an assessment sheet and the methods used were interviews and demonstrations as well as the practice of the 5-finger hypnotic distraction technique. The results showed a decrease in the level of anxiety in Mr. S's family after routinely applying the 5-finger hypnotic distraction technique.
