Abstract

ABSTRACT The development of the Society 5.0 era has brought significant changes to people's lives through the integration of digital technology. However, on the other hand, it has also triggered various moral problems such as low self-control, misuse of digital media, the spread of misinformation, and the decline of ethics and social empathy. This condition indicates the importance of strengthening character education as an effort to build the moral resilience of the younger generation. This study aims to analyze the values of character education contained in HAMKA’s book Pribadi Hebat and to examine their relevance in addressing moral challenges in the Society 5.0 era. This research employed the library research method with a qualitative interpretative approach using content analysis techniques. The data sources were obtained from the book Pribadi Hebat as the primary data and various relevant scientific literatures as secondary data. The data were analyzed through the stages of data reduction, theme classification, meaning interpretation, and systematic conclusion drawing. The findings revealed that the values of character education in HAMKA’s thought include spiritual, personal, and social values that are integrated in shaping a holistic human personality. These values are relevant as ethical foundations in controlling digital behavior, strengthening individual integrity, and building more humane social interactions. This study confirms that HAMKA’s thought has contextual relevance as a character education approach in addressing the moral challenges of modern society based on digital technology. ABSTRAK Perkembangan era Society 5.0 membawa perubahan besar dalam kehidupan masyarakat melalui integrasi teknologi digital, namun di sisi lain juga memunculkan berbagai persoalan moral seperti rendahnya kontrol diri, penyalahgunaan media digital, penyebaran informasi tidak benar, serta menurunnya etika dan empati sosial. Kondisi tersebut menunjukkan pentingnya penguatan pendidikan karakter sebagai upaya membangun ketahanan moral generasi muda. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter dalam buku Pribadi Hebat karya HAMKA serta mengkaji relevansinya dalam menghadapi tantangan moral pada era Society 5.0. Penelitian menggunakan metode library research dengan pendekatan kualitatif interpretatif melalui teknik analisis isi (content analysis). Sumber data diperoleh dari buku Pribadi Hebat sebagai data primer dan berbagai literatur ilmiah yang relevan sebagai data sekunder. Data dianalisis melalui tahapan reduksi data, klasifikasi tema, interpretasi makna, dan penarikan kesimpulan secara sistematis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai pendidikan karakter dalam pemikiran HAMKA meliputi nilai spiritual, personal, dan sosial yang saling terintegrasi dalam membentuk kepribadian manusia secara utuh. Nilai-nilai tersebut relevan sebagai landasan etis dalam mengendalikan perilaku digital, memperkuat integritas individu, serta membangun interaksi sosial yang lebih humanis. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa pemikiran HAMKA memiliki relevansi kontekstual sebagai pendekatan pendidikan karakter dalam menghadapi tantangan moral masyarakat modern berbasis teknologi digital.
