Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) have a strategic role in strengthening the regional economy, including in Pati Regency which is dominated by processed food products and seafood. However, there are still many MSMEs that have not met quality standards and halal product assurance optimally. This research aims to empower MSMEs while improving product quality through Halal Product Process Assistance (P3H) in Pati. The methods used are a participatory approach through socialization of halal concepts, identification of halal critical points of materials and production processes, assistance in the implementation of halal product processes, and evaluation of the understanding of MSME actors. The results of the study show that P3H assistance is able to increase MSME actors' understanding of halal principles, improve production practices according to halal standards, and increase awareness of the importance of product quality for consumer trust. The MSME products produced have a more orderly, hygienic production process, and in accordance with the provisions of halal product guarantee. The conclusion of this study shows that Halal Product Process (P3H) assistance is effective as a strategy for empowering MSMEs and contributes to improving product quality and strengthening the competitiveness of MSMEs in Pati Regency
