Abstract

Abstrak: Peningkatan aktivitas peternakan sapi menghasilkan limbah urin dan feses yang sering kali belum dimanfaatkan secara optimal dan berpotensi mencemari lingkungan. Padahal, urin sapi dapat diolah melalui proses fermentasi menjadi pupuk organik cair yang bermanfaat untuk meningkatkan kesuburan tanah dan mendukung pertanian ramah lingkungan. Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat adalah memberikan pelatihan dan penyuluhan pembuatan pupuk organik cair dengan menggunakan urin sapi. Pengabdian Masyarakat dimulai dengan pretest dengan menjawab 10 soal pilihan ganda. Pupuk organik cair dibuat dengan cara mencampur urin sapi, molase EM-4, dan mencampur empon-empon Campuran difermentasikan selama 14 hari. Setelah praktik pembuatan urin sapi selesai dilanjutkan posttest. Berdasarkan perhitungan diperoleh nilai rata-rata pretest sebesar 52,22 dan nilai rata-rata posttest sebesar 78,88.Abstract: The rise in cattle farming operations generates waste from urine and excrement, which is sometimes not used to its full potential and could contaminate the environment. In actuality, cow pee may be fermented to create liquid organic fertilizer, which is helpful for boosting soil fertility and promoting ecologically friendly farming. The community service's goal is to teach and guide people on how to use cow urine to make liquid organic fertilizer. The Community Service started with a pre-test consisting of ten multiple-choice questions. Cow urine, EM-4 molasses, and herbs were combined to create liquid organic fertilizer. For fourteen days, the mixture underwent fermentation. A post-test was administered following the completion of the cow urine making exercise. Calculations showed that the average pre-test and post-test score were 78.88 and 52.22 respectively.
