Abstract

Abstrak: Program bi’ah lughawiyyah di Muhammadiyah Boarding School (MBS) Jember telah berjalan, tetapi masih menghadapi kendala berupa belum tersedianya panduan implementasi yang terstruktur serta keterbatasan media ajar dan sarana pendukung pembelajaran Bahasa Arab. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan mengoptimalkan keberlanjutan bi’ah lughawiyyah untuk mendukung pengembangan kemampuan Bahasa Arab dan pembinaan akhlak santri. Metode yang digunakan meliputi observasi, Focus Group Discussion, penyusunan panduan, pengembangan media ajar, pelatihan, pendampingan, serta monitoring dan evaluasi. Mitra kegiatan adalah pimpinan pesantren, guru/ustadz, pengurus Bahasa Arab, dan santri MBS sejumlah 17 peserta. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui observasi aktivitas berbahasa, angket motivasi belajar (5 pertanyaan), dan wawancara (3 pertanyaan). Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan mufradat dari 30% menjadi 70%, kemampuan mendengar dari skor rata-rata 30 menjadi 65, kemampuan berbicara dari 30% menjadi 70%, serta motivasi belajar dari 40% menjadi 75%. Program ini juga memperkuat konsistensi pelaksanaan lingkungan Bahasa Arab di pesantren.Abstract: The bi’ah lughawiyyah program at Muhammadiyah Boarding School (MBS) Jember had been implemented, yet it faced challenges such as the absence of a structured implementation guide and limited instructional media and supporting facilities for Arabic learning. This community service program aimed to optimize the sustainability of bi’ah lughawiyyah to support Arabic language development and students’ moral character building. The methods included observation, Focus Group Discussion, guidebook development, instructional media production, training, mentoring, as well as monitoring and evaluation. The partners involved were the boarding school director, teachers, Arabic language coordinators, and students of MBS a total of 17 participants. Evaluation was conducted through language activity observation, learning motivation questionnaires (5 questions), and interviews (3 questions). The results showed an improvement in vocabulary mastery from 30% to 70%, listening skills from an average score of 30 to 65, speaking skills from 30% to 70%, and learning motivation from 40% to 75%. The program also strengthened the consistency of Arabic language environment implementation in the boarding school.
