Abstract

Educational literacy plays an important role in supporting children’s academic development, communication competence, and social participation in contemporary society. Children from migrant and marginalized communities often experience educational challenges related to literacy development, learning motivation, and limited access to educational resources. This community service program aims to strengthen educational literacy through community learning assistance at Sanggar Bimbingan Sungai Mulia 5. The program employed a qualitative participatory approach involving school-age children from Indonesian migrant communities through interactive learning activities, literacy mentoring, collaborative educational exercises, and digital literacy integration. Educational activities included guided reading sessions, storytelling, vocabulary exercises, group discussions, educational games, and collaborative learning practices designed to improve literacy competence and student engagement. The results demonstrated significant improvement in students’ reading comprehension, communication confidence, classroom participation, learning motivation, and social interaction. In addition, participatory learning methods and supportive mentoring contributed positively to students’ emotional confidence and collaborative learning abilities. The integration of digital educational media also strengthened students’ familiarity with educational technology and interactive learning resources. Despite challenges related to differences in literacy competence, learning concentration, and limited educational resources, adaptive teaching methods and continuous mentoring supported the successful implementation of the program. Overall, the community learning assistance activities provided valuable opportunities for strengthening educational literacy, educational participation, and student empowerment within migrant learning communities. The implementation of this program also demonstrates that community-based literacy education can contribute positively to sustainable educational development and social empowerment among vulnerable educational groups.

Abstract

Leadership with integrity has become a fundamental requirement in contemporary organizational governance amid increasing challenges related to corruption, abuse of power, unethical management, and declining public trust in institutions. Islamic leadership offers ethical and spiritual principles emphasizing justice, honesty, responsibility, transparency, accountability, and service-oriented leadership as essential foundations for organizational governance. This study aims to analyze the concept of Islamic leadership in building organizational governance with integrity and examine its relevance within modern organizational management. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach through literature review and contextual analysis of Islamic leadership principles, organizational ethics, and governance theory. The findings indicate that Islamic leadership emphasizes moral responsibility, trustworthiness (amanah), justice (adl), consultation (shura), and exemplary conduct as central elements in organizational management. Islamic leadership also promotes participatory decision-making, ethical accountability, social responsibility, and employee empowerment to strengthen institutional integrity and organizational sustainability. Furthermore, the study reveals that implementing Islamic leadership values can contribute positively to transparency, organizational trust, professional ethics, and effective governance within both public and private institutions. Therefore, Islamic leadership principles remain highly relevant in developing organizations characterized by ethical responsibility, integrity, and sustainable social contribution in contemporary society.

Abstract

Tolerance is one of the fundamental values in Islam that plays an important role in maintaining social harmony, peaceful coexistence, and unity within pluralistic societies. The teachings of the Prophet Muhammad as recorded in the Hadith contain numerous examples and principles emphasizing compassion, justice, respect for diversity, and peaceful interaction among individuals regardless of religious, ethnic, or cultural differences. This study aims to examine the values of tolerance in the Hadith and analyze their relevance to national life in contemporary society. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach through literature review and contextual analysis of Hadith literature, Islamic teachings on tolerance, and contemporary social conditions. The findings indicate that the Hadith strongly promotes values such as mutual respect, social justice, peaceful dialogue, moderation, and protection of human dignity. These teachings remain highly relevant for strengthening national unity, preventing social conflict, and promoting harmonious coexistence in multicultural societies. The study also reveals that tolerance in Islam does not imply weakening religious identity but rather encourages balanced attitudes based on wisdom, humanity, and ethical interaction. In modern national life characterized by diversity and globalization, the implementation of tolerance values derived from the Hadith can contribute significantly to social stability, democratic culture, and peaceful intercommunal relations. Therefore, strengthening understanding of tolerant Islamic teachings is essential for fostering inclusive citizenship and maintaining national integrity in contemporary society.
