Abstract

This study examines the effect of Strategic Human Resource Management (SHRM) practices on firm performance and investigates the moderating role of environmental dynamism in firms operating in Bandung. A quantitative approach was employed using a cross-sectional survey of 214 firms. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Measurement and structural models were assessed following established reliability and validity criteria, and moderation analysis was conducted using an interaction term. The results indicate that SHRM practices have a positive and significant effect on firm performance (β = 0.421, p < 0.001). Environmental dynamism also shows a significant positive effect on firm performance (β = 0.276, p < 0.001). Furthermore, environmental dynamism strengthens the relationship between SHRM practices and firm performance (β = 0.198, p < 0.01). The model explains 57.3% of the variance in firm performance (R² = 0.573), indicating moderate explanatory power. This study is limited by its cross-sectional design, reliance on self-reported data, and focus on a single regional context, which may affect generalizability. This study contributes to the literature by integrating the Resource-Based View with contingency and dynamic capability perspectives, highlighting environmental dynamism as a key boundary condition in the SHRM–performance relationship within an emerging market context.

Abstract

Community services the persistent issue of waste management in elementary schools, focusing on SD Tugumukti Kecamatan Cisarua Kabupaten Bandung Barat, where low levels of student awareness contribute to improper waste disposal within the school environment. The research aims to enhance students’ understanding and behavior regarding waste sorting through a structured educational program. Using a descriptive method, the study employed observations, interactive learning sessions, games, and pre-test and post-test assessments to analyze changes in students’ knowledge and behavior. The findings indicate a notable improvement in students’ comprehension of waste types and their ability to sort waste correctly, accompanied by observable positive behavioral changes after the intervention. The discussion highlights the alignment of these findings with environmental education theory, emphasizing the importance of experiential learning in shaping pro-environmental behavior. The study concludes that well-designed educational interventions can effectively cultivate environmental awareness among young learners and recommends continuous implementation of environmental education, supported by adequate facilities and active teacher involvement, to sustain long-term behavioral change. Abstract

The concept of work effectiveness is basically designed to assess the work results achieved in accordance with a predetermined plan, at the discretion of the individual, or in other terms, to realize certain goals; thus, when these conditions are met, it is categorized as effective. This study describes the effectiveness of civil service in the Shipping Sector of the West Java Provincial Transportation Service. The methodological framework used in this study requires a comprehensive examination of the existing literature (library research). The data collection process is carried out through a comprehensive library study. Such library studies involve the aggregation of pre-existing data, followed by a critical analysis of the conclusions drawn from each source, which are then used as literature and reference materials for the purpose of understanding and analyzing the study. The findings of the current empirical investigation indicate that there are 3 aspects seen in the effectiveness of civil service in improving public services, namely the time factor, the accuracy factor and the service delivery style factor.

Abstract

The less-than-optimal performance of employes in the Spatial Planning and Building Supervision Section of the Bandung City Public Works, Construction and Spatial Planning Department is a major concern, characterized by delays in task completion and poor discipline. This phenomenon is believed to be influenced by the ineffective supervision and coordination functions of the leadership. The purpose of this study is to examine how employee performance is impacted by coordination and supervision. Data was gathered quantitatively by giving questionnaires to 92 respondents who were chosen at random. Multiple linear regression, the F-test, and the t-test were used for data analysis. The study's findings indicate that: (1) With a computed t-value of 5.242, supervision (X1) has a positive and substantial impact on employee performance. (2) With a computed t-value of 4.332, coordination (X2) has a positive and significant impact on employee performance. (3) With a computed F-value of 66.876, supervision and coordination simultaneously have a significant impact on employee performance. These two independent factors account for 60% of employee performance variables, with supervision being the most important element, according to the coefficient of determination (R²).. Increased effectiveness of supervision and coordination has been proven to significantly improve employe performance. Keywords: Supervision, Coordination, Employee Performance, Responsibility, Leadership.
