Abstract

Abstract: The management of jeep tour queues, which is still conducted manually, can lead to disorganized record- keeping, uncertainty in waiting times, and poor service quality, especially when the number of tourists increases. This study aims to evaluate the performance of the First Come First Served (FCFS) algorithm in a web-based jeep tour queue management system. The research adopts a case study approach that includes problem analysis, UML-based system design, implementation using the Laravel framework, as well as system testing and performance evaluation using indicators such as average waiting time, time variation, and fairness index. The testing was conducted over ten operational days, involving 275 booking records and 778 jeep fleet usages. Simulations were carried out under normal conditions and during peak hours (golden hour). The evaluation results indicate that the system is capable of consistently sorting queues based on booking timestamps without violating the established service order. The average waiting time obtained was 5.82 minutes, with variations influenced by the daily number of bookings. The weighting mechanism applied does not alter the fundamental principle of FCFS and supports structured service distribution. The findings demonstrate that the FCFS algorithm can be effectively applied in managing jeep tour service queues.
