Abstract

Classroom management is a crucial activity for teachers to ensure optimal learning. As we enter the digital era, with Generation Alpha students dominating primary education, classroom management faces various challenges that teachers need to address. This study aims to describe and analyse the challenges of classroom management for teachers in the Generation Alpha era. The research method employed a literature review using the PRISMA protocol through the stages of identification, screening, eligibility, and inclusion. The databases consulted were ResearchGate, Sinta, and Google Scholar, with inclusion and exclusion criteria covering publications from 2022 to 2025. The PRISMA selection results identified 45 articles, of which 5 passed the screening and eligibility stages. Findings from these 5 articles indicate that classroom management challenges in primary schools during the Generation Alpha era align with the five domains outlined by Evertson & Weinstein: the physical environment, rules and procedures, student behaviour, instructional management, and teacher-student relationships. These challenges include limited facilities, low teacher pedagogical competence, diverse student characteristics, parental intervention, and curriculum adaptation. Addressing these issues requires comprehensive synergy between teachers, families, and schools. Further research is recommended to conduct empirical studies and explore technology-based strategies using a mixed-methods approach for more comprehensive results. Abstract

The advancement of information technology necessitates school digitalization as a strategic imperative. This study aims to identify and analyze organizational change management strategies in the implementation of the SchoolTalk application as an integrated service solution at SDI Ar Roudloh Lamongan. Employing a qualitative case study design, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation from the principal, teachers, administrative staff, and parents. Thematic analysis was used for data analysis. Findings indicate that the school successfully managed the unfreezing stage (building awareness of digitalization urgency through identification of operational challenges and initial resistance handling) and the changing stage (implementing innovative strategies such as manual cut-off policies, master data, training workshops, WhatsApp notification integration, guided payment corners, and incentive systems to address teacher and parent resistance). Although significant benefits such as administrative efficiency, communication synergy, and home-based learning empowerment have been realized, the refreezing stage (stabilizing change into new operational norms) has not been fully achieved. Long-term success hinges on addressing technical infrastructure barriers, such as internet instability and the lack of backup devices, which threaten the stability of integrated services and the positive impact of digitalization. This study underscores the importance of integrating proactive change management with strengthening the technological infrastructure foundation to realize effective and sustainable integrated services in primary schools.
