<![CDATA[ABSTRAK: Penelitian ini berangkat dari kajian sastra sebagai representasi kehidupan sosial serta adanya kesenjangan penelitian yang masih jarang membahas kritik terhadap sistem pendidikan dalam perspektif postmodernisme Jean-François Lyotard. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi bentuk dekonstruksi narasi besar pendidikan dalam novel Kami (Bukan) Sarjana Kertas karya J.S. Khairen. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui pembacaan mendalam dan pencatatan kutipan relevan dari teks novel. Analisis data menggunakan teori postmodernisme Lyotard, khususnya konsep penolakan terhadap narasi besar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa novel ini mendekonstruksi keyakinan bahwa pendidikan tinggi merupakan satu-satunya jalan menuju kesuksesan, serta menampilkan ironi berupa ketimpangan sosial dalam dunia akademik dan parodi terhadap birokrasi kampus. Kesimpulan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa makna kesuksesan bersifat plural, tidak tunggal, dan dibentuk oleh berbagai narasi kecil yang menantang kebenaran absolut dalam sistem pendidikan. KATA KUNCI: dekonstruksi; ironi; novel; parodi; pendidikan; postmodernisme > POSTMODERNISM LYOTARD: DECONSTRUCTION, IRONY, PARODY OF EDUCATIONAL NARRATIVES IN THE NOVEL KAMI (BUKAN) SARJANA KERTAS ABSTRACT: This study departs from the view that literature reflects social reality and identifies a research gap in previous studies that rarely examine criticism of the education system from Jean-François Lyotard’s postmodern perspective. The aim of this study is to identify forms of deconstruction of the grand narrative of education in Kami (Bukan) Sarjana Kertas by J.S. Khairen. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through in-depth reading and note-taking of relevant textual excerpts from the novel. The data were analyzed using Lyotard’s postmodern theory, particularly the concept of the rejection of grand narratives. The findings show that the novel deconstructs the belief that higher education is the only path to success, presents irony in the form of social inequality in academic life, and uses parody to criticize campus bureaucracy. The study concludes that the meaning of success is plural, non-fixed, and constructed through multiple small narratives that challenge absolute truths in the education system.
