Abstract

Program Keluarga Harapan (PKH) is a conditional cash transfer program designed to improve the welfare of poor families in Indonesia. However, many beneficiary families (KPM) have not been able to manage the assistance productively, particularly in the areas of financial management and productive business development. This community service activity aimed to improve financial literacy and promote economic independence of KPM PKH in Desa Medanglayang through counseling, training, and mentoring approaches. The results showed a meaningful increase in participants' understanding of household financial management, the ability to record simple finances, and the emergence of micro-business initiatives. Overall, the activity had a positive impact on the economic independence of KPM PKH in the village.

Abstract

The implementation of the Thematic Community Service Program (KKN) in Sukapada Village has become a means for students to contribute to improving community capacity and supporting local economic development. The activities carried out focused on three main programs, namely basic computer tutoring, beauty class training, and MSME digitalization assistance. Basic computer tutoring was conducted to improve participants' understanding and skills in using computers for daily and educational needs. The beauty class program aimed to improve women's knowledge and skills in personal grooming and basic beauty, which can also become a potential supporting skill for economic independence. Meanwhile, MSME digitalization activities were carried out through assistance in digital marketing and efforts to improve the visibility of local products through digital platforms. The implementation of these programs received positive responses from the community. Overall, the activities contributed to improving human resource capacity, encouraging the development of local skills, and supporting the economic independence of Sukapada Village through the utilization of technology and local potential.
