Abstract

Abtrak: Penelitian bertujuan menganalisis persepsi siswa terkait penerapan Kurikulum Merdeka pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan (PKn) di SMA N 3 Kota Jayapura. Kurikulum Merdeka diperkenalkan Kemdikbud bertujuan memberikan kebebasan pada proses pembelajaran, namun implementasinya di lapangan masih menimbulkan berbagai persepsi di kalangan siswa. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif, penelitian ini melibatkan 30 siswa berbagai kelas dan menggunakan wawancara serta kuesioner sebagai instrumen pengumpulan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebagian besar siswa memiliki pandangan positif pada Kurikulum Merdeka, meskipun terdapat beberapa tantangan dalam penerapannya. Penelitian ini sekiranya bisa memberikan wawasan bagi para pendidik serta pembuat kebijakan dalam mengoptimalkan pelaksanaan kurikulum di sekolah. Kata kunci: Model Pembelajaran, Pendidikan Karakter, Pembentukan Karakter.   Abstract: This study aims to analyze student perceptions regarding the implementation of the Kurikulum Merdeka (Independent Curriculum) in Civic Education (Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan/PKn) at SMA N 3 Kota Jayapura. Introduced by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemdikbudristek), the Kurikulum Merdeka is designed to provide flexibility in the learning process; however, its practical implementation continues to garner diverse perceptions among students. Utilizing a qualitative approach, this research involved 30 students from various grade levels, employing interviews and questionnaires as data collection instruments. The findings demonstrate that most students hold a positive view toward the Kurikulum Merdeka, despite encountering several challenges during its execution. This study is expected to provide valuable insights for educators and policymakers in optimizing curriculum delivery in schools. Keywords: Independent Curriculum, Student Perceptions, Civic Education.
