Abstract

Library management at SMK Negeri 2 Bisnis Manajemen Jayapura is still conducted manually, resulting in several challenges, including slow transaction recording processes, difficulties in data retrieval, and the absence of an [1] Automatic Notification system for book returns. This study aims to design a [6] Web-Based Library System integrated with [2] QR Code technology and automatic notifications. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with a Research and Development (R&D) methodology. System development was conducted using the [3] SDLC Waterfall model and was limited to the [4] System Design stage. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The results of this study consist of a system design that includes requirements analysis and [5] UML modeling comprising Use Case Diagrams, Activity Diagrams, Sequence Diagrams, and Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERD), as well as user interface design. The proposed system integrates QR Codes as unique book identifiers and automatic notifications as book return reminders. The resulting design is expected to serve as a foundation for the future development and implementation of a more effective and structured digital library system

Abstract

The rapid advancement of information technology has encouraged businesses to adopt digital solutions to improve operational efficiency and service quality. In the culinary sector, many small-scale food businesses still rely on manual sales processes, resulting in transaction recording errors, inefficient data management, and delays in customer service. This study aims to design a web-based yellow rice (nasi kuning) sales information system using the Prototype development method. The research method consists of five stages: requirements identification, prototype development, prototype evaluation, prototype refinement, and final system implementation. Data were collected through observation and interviews to identify user requirements and existing business process challenges. The proposed system is designed to provide essential functionalities, including administrator authentication, menu management, online ordering, transaction processing, customer management, and sales reporting. Unified Modeling Language (UML) diagrams, including use case, activity, and class diagrams, were utilized to model system requirements and workflows. The results of this study produce a comprehensive web-based sales system design that facilitates online food ordering, improves transaction management, and supports more structured sales data processing. The system is expected to enhance operational effectiveness, improve service quality, and provide greater convenience for both business owners and customers in managing and conducting sales transactions

Abstract

Effective inventory management is an important factor in maintaining the smooth operation of a business, including Gama Studio Coffeeshop Jayapura Papua. Currently, the process of recording inventory at Gama Studio Coffeeshop is still done manually using notebooks, which has the potential to cause recording errors, delays in stock information, and the risk of data loss. This study aims to design a web-based inventory system that can help the inventory management process more effectively and efficiently. The system development method used is Waterfall, which consists of the stages of needs analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, and literature studies. The system design uses Use Case Diagrams, Activity Diagrams, and Class Diagrams as the basis for system development. The results of the study show that the designed web-based inventory system can facilitate admins in managing item data, supplier data, incoming goods transactions, outgoing goods transactions, and stock reports more quickly and accurately. This system is expected to minimize manual recording errors, improve operational efficiency, and support better decision-making in inventory management.
